   Summary

Walker McGrady never had any problems with sleeping until his father passed away from a tragic accident during the spring of his junior year. Throughout the summer, Walker struggled to fall asleep, and he mainly kept to himself. He rarely spoke to anybody, and he'd always be mournful. When his senior year rolls around, and he gets partnered up with Carter Dowell, he starts to open up. He eventually learns that bad things will happen in life, but you just got to keep pushing, even if you'll never be okay again.

Dedication
To the ones who have never been truly happy.

Author's Note

Before you begin reading, I just want to let everyone know that this story does contain a person with insomnia. I do not know everything about people with insomnia, so I will get some things wrong. I am also writing this from a boy's point of view, and since I am a girl, I might (definitely will) get some things wrong from a male's perspective. Keep that in mind.
This also might seem like a cliche type of story, but I would not consider it as one, but that's me being biased.
I am from the United States, and I do live in the southern part of a state, so I will have a different dialect than what you are used to. I might use a word differently, and that should be okay, but if it's not, I apologize for misusing it.
I hope you enjoy this story as much as I have enjoyed writing it. It might not be the best thing in the world, but it's something, and I'd appreciate it if you all would be respectful enough to not point out all of the plot holes. I know they're there. Every story has plot holes. It's a thing. However, I don't mind it if you point out my misspellings or if you correct me on my grammar.
Thank you to whoever decides to read this! I appreciate all your love and support, and I hope you enjoy it!
