Arthit stared at the man who was sitting on the sofa in front of him. His boyfriend, Kongpob, was still on the college uniform.
Kongpob stole Arthit's attention because he couldn't stay still. His fingers moved around uncontrollably. Sometimes they intertwined, and loosened up after that. He did it randomly, repeatedly.
Kongpob was not clever enough to hide his feeling. It could be seen on the surface, obviously. His eyes looked down or just wondered around the restaurant. He bited his lower lip, tightly, that it became reddish. Arthit was able to see the tense Kongpob, doubtlessly.
They were supposed to have lunch, but no one ordered the menu since they came. They didn't even talk to each other since then.
Arthit raised his hand to call the waitress. "One nom yen and iced coffee." He said after the waitress come.
Kongpob was still in a dazed. Now, he was looking at Arthit.
Arthit smirked, "What are you looking at?" He asked playfully.
Kongpob shook his head. He still didn't want to talk. He was the one who asked to meet up, yet he couldn't bring himself to do what he planned to do.
"You visit me right after your class was over, right?" Arthit asked. He had the feeling that his boyfriend wanted to tell him something... important, maybe? Who knows.
Kongpob nodded, "I just have one class today. It finished at 10 am."
"Have you eaten on your way here?"
"No, I haven't."
"Then, let's order something to eat, too." Arthit opened the menu. "Look, I heard people said that the chicken soup here was the best in town. Do you wanna try?"
Kongpob said no, "I want minced pork wi-"
"Okay." Arthit broke in. He called the waitress and made an order. When he looked back at Kongpob, that guy already smiled. "Do you feel better now? I guess you were hungry, then."
Kongpob cackled, "Only a bit."
"Hmm..." Arthit gave Kongpob a nod. "So, you do have something to talk about, don't you?"
Kongpob's pleasant expression disappeared. It went back to be a troubled look.
"If you don't-"
"I have." Kongpob interrupted. "I have." He repeated it. He began to control his breath. Arthit waited patiently. "But... I don't want to talk about it here."
Arthit's mind directed towards the thought that made himself blushing. It wasn't the first time yet he still couldn't use to it.
"Can we talk in your place?"
Arthit have guessed it. He nodded, "Hmm. Fine."
Their meals came several minutes after the conversation. They ate them quietly. After that, Arthit and Kongpob walked together to Arthit's place.
Arthit's rented room was not too large for a single person. It was completed with air conditioner, television, small pantry, all in one room. Once his boyfriend slept over, the aircon seemed to not working, tho 😅
Today was not like any other days. Kongpob was tensed. Arthit rolled his eyes around, thinking about what he would do to make his boyfriend talk.
"P'Arthit..."
Oh, okay. He finally talked.
"P'Arthit, I..."
"Hmm? What is it?" Arthit couldn't take it anymore. Kongpob kept holding back all his words, made Arthit curious.
