My eyes snap shut. This stimulated me better than the medication Bones gave me to rehydrate. But I had to pull away. This was not the plan. I was supposed to be devious, cunning. I was supposed to use the Captain as my pawn to save the Church.
Or maybe to return home at long last.
I put my hand on his firm chest and push him away. He brushes a strand of dark hair behind my ear. I blink several times.
"I am sorry Captain. I do not believe that is appropirate in this situation."
"What situation is that?"
"Certain doom." I state, my golden eys flashing, almost violently. I keep backing up until I can turn on my heels and rush to my quarters. That wasn't how the plan was supposed to go. There is no hope for aid after the last few minutes.
I shut the door behind me with force. I had to leave this craft. I had made up my mind. I sat on the bed, trying to contemplate any choices I had. They were limited.
