Raj just unpacked the last box in their new house. There weren't a lot of things to unpack.

After his mom died a few months ago, his father put in a transfer for any city. He didn't care where and frankly, neither did Raj. Raj couldn't handle the sympathy looks and the constant reminder that everything was his fault. The move seemed like the best decision and so they moved.

The Sheriff in town was really nice. Raj met him and his son when he tagged along with his father. and they got along really well. Both were interested into going to Stanford and pursuing the same things. They both wanted to major in computer science while minor in economics.

Tonight, Raj and Stiles were going to accompany Scott to a Tattoo Parlor.

Stiles drove up in the driveway and honked for Raj.

Raj walked out with a black v-neck T-shirt and khakis. He walked up to Stiles's jeep.

"Hey, what's up man?" Raj said to Stiles.

"Nothing. Got everything unpacked?"

"Yeah, finally finished the last box."

"So, R, this is my my best friend from childhood, Scott."

Scott waved. Raj waved back at him.

"Alright, are we going?"

"Yep, Scott move so R can get in the back."

"You do know it takes the same amount of time to say Raj, right?" Raj asked him jokingly. He honestly didn't mind the nickname. It was new and he needed a little bit of new in his life.

They arrived at the parlor and Scott showed his drawing of the tattoo he wanted. Raj decided that he also wanted a tattoo. His dad said it was fine in his old town, so he doubted that he would mind now. Even so, Raj really wanted this one. After Scott was done, Raj sat down.

"You're getting one too?" Stiles asked.

"Yeah. I need it." Raj said. Scott raised an eyebrow, but Stiles knew exactly what he meant. Stiles knew Raj lost his mother when his dad told him. The first day they met, Stiles took him to the cemetery to show Raj that he had someone to talk to when it gets hard. Raj appreciated it.

He pulled out a piece of paper with a drawing. It had a drawing of words around a forearm.

It read, "- May 15 2013 - Never Forget - A.P. -" with a black band both above and below it.

When the tattoo was finished,  Raj took a look at it. It was read facing towards him because this was a tattoo only for him to understand, not anybody else.

They all got in the car and Scott started to grunt in pain. Raj looked up to see them both talking.

"Hey guys, what's going on?"

"Nothing!" Both yelled at him.

"Ok, geez."

Stiles started driving and stopped at a red light. Scott was telling Stiles about how he missed Allison and how he hopes she finally returns to him.

Raj actually felt sorry for the guy. "Ok Scott. If you really love her, you need to let her decide what is best for her. If she's with you and doesn't have the same feeling, that twinkle in your eye when you see her, that moment when she's walking down the hall and your heart stops, that kiss that makes it seem that life could end right now and you'd be ok with it, then you would be the one who suffers more than her. There's a saying that my grandparents told me, which I remember to this day, "If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never meant to be."
