Chapter 1- Noah

The bell rang for class to start and we all took our seats. Mrs. Jason started talking about a new project.

"Ok, science project. I'm pairing you up. Greyson, you will be with Carson. Travis, Gracie. Noah, Skye. Baylor, Jacob..." my mind trailed off.

I wasn't completely sure who Skye was. She was new this year and kept to herself. And the people she talked to, well, let's just say they weren't the most 'popular' people at West River High.

"Dude, I got put with Gracie!"

"Ya, Travis. That's great because now you have to do all the work!" I put my thumbs up and put on a fake smile.

"No I won't."

"You know how she is. She never does the work on her project. And do you actually think that it's gonna do any good for you to be her partner. I mean, do you actually think she's gonna talk to you?"

"There's always hope!"

"Boys! What is so interesting that you have to disrupt class to talk about?"

"Mrs. Jason, wouldn't you be the one disrupting class since you stopped it to call Noah and I out for chatting about the science project?"

"No, Mr. Ryan I don't. But I do think that you should go to the office. Now."

Everybody laughed and I smiled.

"Is there something wrong, Mr. Bennett?"

"No, ma'am. Nothing at all."

Chapter 2 - Noah

After school, Travis, Baylor and I walked over to the Smoothie Shack. Everybody goes there to hang out after school.

"Hi, you guys want your regulars?"

"Ya, Jane. That's good."

Jane always waited on us. We got all the discounts and stuff because Jane was Baylor's sister-in-law.

"So, what happened in the principal's office, Travis?" I asked with a laugh.

"Ah, nothin'. Principal Daniels just told me to watch my mouth and go back to class."

"Wow. It's gotta be weird having the principal dating your dad."

"Ya, I guess."

"Here are your smoothies. Enjoy."

"Thanks, Jane."

"So, Noah, have you talked to that Sally girl yet?" Baylor asked.

"You mean Skye? Nah. She looked at me weird when I tried to talk to her after class."

Baylor and Travis just laughed.

"Dude, that's pathetic."

"Thanks, Baylor."

We were sitting outside when the door opened and Skye walked out. She has dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

"Dude, I dare you to go ask her out. And if you don't you have to kiss my cat."

"Dude, THAT'S pathetic. No way."

"Then you have to kiss my cat! You know how much she loves you!"

"Travis, I am not kissing your cat. Have you seen that thing lately? When was the last time she went to the vet?"

"Then go ask her out. Now!"
