It was the first day of October, it had been a long and cold September, as if Winter had not quite done yet. Now, the birds chirped in their trees. The flowers were in bloom. It was the perfect day for having a picnic, or a game of catch. It was in a particular field of pink and yellow flowers that a young man soon found himself in. After having a look at the beautiful surroundings, he decided the stop and sit down at a stream. He looked at the trickles of water flowing down in a calming fashion.

"This looks great. I haven't seen any place as calming as this." He spoke to himself as he lay down in a soft patch of grass.

"Indeed it does!" A young girl his age had suddenly appeared out of nowhere and sat down next to him.

"Fancy seeing you here, it unlike we never planned to meet here." The boy spoke jokingly, putting on an even bigger smile.

The two of them lay there for a while without speaking. They were so breath taken by the wonderful landscape they had forgotten the other was there for a moment. The boy was the first to speak again.

"You did a great job in picking this place. It's amazing!"

"I knew you would like it." The two of them chatted for a while until it was time for the boy to leave.

"I'm really sorry, but I have to go." The girl looked disappointed at this sudden news.

"If you must."

"I do. But, will you be available tomorrow? We could meet here in the morning before you go off to work. We could talk for much longer next time I promise I'll-" The girl put a single finger up against his mouth hushing him, she smiled.

"Of course."

"Thanks for understanding. Nobody has ever been as nice to me as you have. I'll meet you back here tomorrow!" The boy yelled as he slowly backed away into the distance, heading home.

The girl on the other hand didn't leave quite yet. She sat back down and smiled. She sighed. It was the sigh someone would make when deeply in love with someone. Just before she left the field she quietly spoke to herself as if hoping the boy could here her still.

"Until next time Archer."
