It all started when I recived a mail in the central computer of my timeship, the Hallow. The message was from my boss, Mr. Filch, in the Temporal History Institute, an international organitation that studies objectively all that happened in the past, wanted me to steal some documents from a strange jewell missed since the 18th century, and the jewell if I found it. A regular mission like dozens I've done before, please I'm Minerva Oswald I can alwas accomplish my goals, but something very bad happened.
I was undercover as a maid in King George II's court for two weeks until I was able to put my hands on the documents. It was a rainy night and I ended late on purpose my job in the kitchens. I made my way to the doctor slash scientist's room, the place where I knew the documents were, right next to the sleeping doctor Greenhouse.
A few days after my robbery, it was a rumour going on i the kitchens, the jewell was changing place next morning because of the stolen documents. So, of course I decided to make all I could to catch it, I had never left a mission on the easy part before. Why couldn't I return to the Hallow when I had the opportunity? The only harmed thing was my pride, I was being vain and selfish, as little Minerva always is.
The jewell, a big sapphire tear, was going to be moved by a little group of the most loyal king's knghts. I volunteered to gave them food for their trip in order to catch were they were hidding the jewell at that moment. When I listened that the Captain was addressing to the jeweller room, I ran through the corridors until I arrived there. Why didn't I even think of coming here in the first place? It's so logical and I'm so dumb!
I burst into the room with the excuse that I came to make the bed and do little clean. The jewell was inside a little wood blue bow on the table. I only grabbed the jewell and I put it in a little sack that I was carrying with me since I started the mission. I swer I thought that anyone was paying attention to me, for God's sake! But Captain Watson had just entered the room and he saw me, but he didn't say anything; I know that he saw me because, when I left the room, he stopped me and told me, I asked why he didn't say it and the Captain asked me if I was a member of the Institute instead, because he was a member and he knew about the mission.
I went back to the Hallow and I made a copy of the sapphire so I could switch the goods back into the wood box. I supposed that they had raised the alarm, bat I couldnt believe that the knights would came directly to me. Someone should have betrayed me, but only the Captain knew that it was me who stole the damn jewell. I couldnt believe that he was the one who told he King about me until he visited me down the cells were the knights put me in. I thought that he was a member of the Institute, but hes just a traitor.
The King said that I am going to be executed in a few days, this letter is my last wish before dying. I suppose I knew that I was going to die in a mission but I thought that it was going to be another day, in another time zone, maybe in my own time line, I dont know. Whatever, I gave the false jewell to the knights, the real one is in the Hallow with copies of the documents, it will go back to the Institute base in the Atlantic Ocean when I die.
With pleasure I had gave to you, to the Institute, 17 years of my life, and with fear and determination I beg you not to come after me or try to save me.
Minerva Oswald
2267-1733, executed being 27 years old.
