Best Friends or Love?

Ch.7 The Party.

"Josh!" I yelled. "Yes he's coming." I nodded.

"Good." Josh winked.

At the party...

"Hey." I said as Cody came in the door. "Sorry to ask this of you but, can you help me with the fire on the beach?"

"Of course I can." Cody winked. After we set up the fire we went inside with everybody else.

"Hey." I said as I walked by a group of people. Cody and I went to sit on the couch together.

"Hi," I said

"Hi" said Cody.

"I have to tell you something." I said.

"Shoot." said Cody.

"I'm in love with you." I said bluntly.

 "Yeah?" Cody asked.

"Yup." I said.

"Wow, my best friend is in love with me." Cody thought out loud. "Huh."

"Kiss me." I said.

"Why?" Cody asked.

"We have before." I said.

"Yeah, But I didn't think you were in love with me." Cody reminded me.

"So, did that change things?" I asked.

"Yeah, I guess so." Cody said quietly.

"Damn, I shouldn't have said anything." I said.

"Yeah you shouldn't have." Cody said quietly and walked away.

"Josh?" I called. "Where are you?"

"Over here!" he answered.

"What?" he asked then he saw I was crying. "What did he do?"

"It was my fault, I shouldn't have said anything." I said crying. "He hates me now."

"I'm gonna punch that kid." Josh said strongly.

"Oh,please don't." I said weakly "I love him."

"Maybe he has to think about it." I said trying to convince him not to.

"Yeah,If he touches you... he's dead." said Josh.

"Jo, wait come here." called Cody. "Come to the beach with me please."

"Meet ya out there, bye Josh." I said.

"Don't let him bug ya." said Josh sternly. "And don't go all the way either."

"Josh, I wont geese." I said.

Out on the beach...

"I'm here, what do you want?" I asked.

"I'm sorry it was so awkward on the couch." he said. "I had to think a little bit about what you said."

"And what do you have to say about it?" I asked cautiously. 

"Well,I think it really great and i have no idea how I feel." Cody answered.

"I hope we can still be friends after what I said." I said quietly.

"Yeah me to." Cody also said quietly. Then a boy came up to me and said...

"Lets make out." "Wanna?" 

"I don't even now you." I said sternly.

"Yes you do." he said.

"Do I?" I asked "Who are you? I don't reconize you."

"I'm your ex, Brandon." he said. "Remember?"

"No not really," I said

"You have to remember," he said. "I still love you."

"Oh I remeber," I said "The big ass hole who cheated on me!"

"No, you cheated on me," he said.

"No I didn't. You cheated on me with my best friend." I said.

"No you cheated on me with my best friend." he said.

"I bet she told us that to get us to break up." I said.

"Yeah I bet." he said.

"Anyway, I like someone else I'm sorry." I said sweetly.

"Oh. I wont rest until we are together sorry." he said.

"Ugh! Leave me alone!" I said.

"I don't like you!" I said.

"Cody, Do you wanna go out?" I asked.

"Uh, Maybe." he said. " I'll think about it."

"So you like Cody huh?" Brandon said.

"Leave me alone!!!!!" I screamed. Josh came around the corner running and punched Brandon in the face.

"I would know that face any where!" yelled Cody.

"Its Brandon." I said.

"Whats he doing here?" asked Josh.

"He came here fo Jo." said Cody

"That ass hole." said Josh.

"Thats what I said." I added.

"Party's Over Kids!" yelled Josh "Time to go!"
