EMILY'S POV :
"there is no way i'm letting you go into the army emily what if you get killed"Alison screams at me."why not Ali,i want to make him proud and this is the only way to"it's been two years since my father past overseas and each day seems to get harder without him here,he was my hero who i looked up too and i want him to be proud of me so last mouth i desided to sign up for the army and yesterday i got confirmation to start boot camp Alison was there when i got the letter and she wasn't too happy to hear that her girlfriend was leaving after graduation. "Emily are you crazy i will not just stand by and watch the person i love get blown to bits"she says and i could tell she was sad by the crack in her voice and the slight glint of tears in her seablue eyes,i pull her into a tight huge and sooth her."baby,i'm not gonna get blown to bits i'm going to be a base nurse" "you still get blown to bits and i don't want to lose you"she was now crying i could feel the wetness through my shirt," i promise you won't lose me" "you don't know that emily so you can't promise anything"she says pounding on my chest slightly i hold her closer. "I know it's hard but it's what i want to do i want to help,i want to make a difference i want this" i finish gently rubbing her back with my thumb she nuzzles her head in my chest and puts her hands on my shoulder."you really want this" she says softly "More then anything"she pulled away from my chest and looks at me i move my hand from her back to her waist,"How long will you be gone" "5 years,but i get vacations and holidays and we can Skype after boot camp" "You promise you'll be careful" "i swear on my life" "if this makes you happy then i think you should do it,i will admit i'm gonna miss you like hell but i know that this will make happy so i give you the go ahead" "really" i say excited and jump a little she nods her head slightly.I pull her into a kiss,she kissed back and it was like our first kiss all over again we pull away from air and I can't take it anymore."okay i can't do this anymore" "do what" "well i was planning something for tonight but i just can't wait anymore"i say i pull out a small box and get down on one knee."Now before you run i'm not proposing it's just a promise ring,with this ring i promise to wait and love you forever i promise that one day i will proposal and make you mine forever,you are my everything and with out you i'm nothing.Sure five years is a long time but for you Ali i would wait an eternity,do you promise me that you will wait,can you promise me that you'll love me forever and do you promise yo be mine one day"i finish and she just stood there looking at me wide eye she raises her hand up to her mouth and whispers something "yes" "what was that"she removes her hand from her mouth. "Yes baby i-i promise"she nearly screams i get up and place the ring on her fingers she pulls me down and kisses me,i wrap my arms around her and she lays her head on my chest she pecks my neck, "you better be here for Christmas"she says and i laugh. "When do you leave?" "Next Friday after Spencer breakfast thing" "So we only have a week together" she sighs into my chest and i laugh and rock back and forth and she giggles. "When does your mom get home"she says and moves her hands to my lower back. "She comes home tomorrow morning why"i say acting clueless. "Well i was thinking maybe we could"she kisses my neck lightly."we could what" "play" "play oh okay so that's what we're calling it now" "yup"she says against my neck she pulls back and i look at her she jumps on me and wraps her legs around my waist i hold her up and walk us to the bedroom.
*1 hour later
Alison and i are cuddling in bed our hands intertwined just talking.I start playing with her hair.(E:Emily,Al:Alison)
Al:"i'm really gonna miss you baby"
E:"me too"
Al:"promise me you won't come back with a shaved head and a million tattoos"i laugh
E:"i promise i won't"
Al:"good"
E:"i love you"
Al:"i love you too"i kiss her forehead and we drift off into a confertable sleep,
