"You're leaving now, it's in your eyes there's no disguising it. It really comes as no surprise to find that you planned it all alone..."

The cassette tape sat motionless, as one of the Walkman's tape heads turned. Venom Snake sat upright on a steel bench seat in the back of the Blackfoot helicopter which had picked him up just a few short seconds before. Asia boomed out into Venom's headphones as he gazed back out at the Mayan temple which was crumbling before his very eyes. He gazed down at his sneaking suit and examined the bullet wound that had appeared in the middle of his chest. He gazed across at the handrail, that ran along the top of the chopper, and examined the IV Bag which he was hooked up to. There was silence inside the helicopter except for the faint hum of the Walkman.  Venom glanced up at the pilot, Pequod, and noticed that there was someone else sat next to him.

"Life's end. Isn't it beautiful? It's almost tragic. When life ends, it gives off a final lingering aroma. Light is but a farewell gift from the darkness to those on their way to die..."

The Boss, stood up from her position next to the pilot and stood to face Snake. She was dressed in her standard white Soviet Union sneaking suit. It looked fresh, brand new like it had been ripped straight from 1964. Her hair was neatly kept back in a ponytail and she wore white tactical gloves to complete the outfit. She gave Snake this deathly stare which sent his whole body into paralysis. He tried to move his still head down to look at his legs and tried to get them to move. He was stuck their on the bench. Like a sitting duck. The air was silent, her arrival had stopped the PLAY head on the Walkman from turning. Cutting off Asia mid sentence.

Suddenly, a loud familiar sound rocked through the cockpit of the helicopter. The sound of a gunshot. It sounded like a threatened rattlesnake ready to attack. It was the sound that had been familiarised with The Bosses personal defence weapon. The Patriot. Snake managed to bring his eyes back up to look at The Boss. A bright red patch had appeared on her chest. Blood seeped through a small bullet sized hole on The Bosses sneaking suit. Blood trickled down from the wound on to the metal corrugated floor below her. She suddenly started to speak in a calming tone, whilst slowly inching towards Snake. "Snake...I've been waiting for you to join me. I've been waiting for 22 years. Since that fateful day when you took my life with my own gun." Tears started to fall down from her face and a tone of sadness came into her voice. "I wanted to tell you everything. But I couldn't because otherwise your mission would have been compromised so that's why I told Eva." She paused briefly as she started to fade. "There is nothing left inside me now. Nothing at all. No hatred. And yet..."  Before she could finish she faded back into the afterlife.

With that the paralysis cleared and all of Snake's motor functions returned to his body. Tears started to stream down from his eyes. He gazed out towards the front of the helicopter. One arm extended out in front of him trying to grab the air. Trying to grab the remaining parts of The Bosses soul. Suddenly, his Walkman kicked back into life and Asia started playing again. He stood up, pressing stop on the Walkman as a wave of nausea crashed over him. He stumbled towards the pilot, Pequod, his vision started to blur and he lost control of his legs falling down sideways onto the metal floor with a crash. He glanced up at Pequod as he turned his head to look at his fallen boss. Snake couldn't keep him self conscious anymore and lapsed off into the darkness.
