Cain's POV
This is all shit. New fighters and navigators..everyone looking at Abel. Fuck!! This is why I didn't want us to be reassigned to the Kepler. Everyone has eyes on someone that isn't theirs. Right now, I can feel all the attention on him. I overhear Abel laugh and turn around. "The fuck is going on over here?" I ask Abel. "We were talking abo-" The fighter tried to say. "I WASN'T TALKING TO YOU." I say cutting the fighter off. "Cain, relax. He was telling me about the systems of the ships on earth. It's been so long since I've saw or heard about them." Abel said so impressed. Earth? The hell would he be so interested in the shit from there? I see that fighter reach out to touch Abel. I grab his wrist and pull it behind his back, locking him in a arm lock. "The hell is your deal? Trying to take something that doesn't belong to you?" I say. Abel stands and faces me. All I can see next, is the kid by Abel's side. "Did you..just hit me?" I ask. "I'm tired of you always referring to me as 'yours'! I'm your navigator and we may be something else, but that's between us! Don't act like you own me!" He said before pulling the kid to the side. "I'm sorry." He said to the kid. "It's alright. I overstepped my bounds. Looks like I should go." He said and with that, he left. The briefing hadn't started and this kid left. Who the hell cares. I see Abel glare and me and move across the room. Now I had done it..and this Zanthos kid I've heard about, well, he'll face me yet.
