Brooklynn's POV

Thanking Abigail, we hopped out of the Uber in front of the airport. I looked down to adjust my outfit before continuing on. We all had on matching California football tees I made online and shorts. I decided to go all out and put on my Marcus Butler shoes. After checking my outfit, I made sure my hair was okay. A few weeks ago, I dyed it a multitude of colors and put in in Bantu knots to make it wavy. Everything was in the right place and I was all set. We made our way towards the door, when someone grabbed my arm. I turned around thinking it was Abigail, giving me something I left in the van, when I saw that the hand was dark and manly. I looked up to see the face, hoping it was someone I knew. It wasn't.

"Hey, mama, I saw you fixin you outfit, make sure you be lookin sexy when you walk by me and my boys." he said smiling and showing all his silver teeth. All around the airport, you see these types of people, but they never approached me like this.

"For your information, I was not fixing myself for you," I said hotly, pulling my arm out of his grasp," I did it for myself."

"No need to get upset, baby, just trina get to know you. My names Drake, but I can rap like Future."

"I honestly don't care what your name is or who you sound like when you attempt to rap. So, if you excuse me, I have a flight to catch." I said walking around him towards my friends who had stopped see where I was. Just as I was about to enter the airport, Drake grabbed my are again, this time harder than before.

"Didn't ask for your opinion on me," he said as his face go closer to mine. Suddenly,he was pulled away from me and thrown to the sidewalk. I looked up only to see that it was Connor who pulled him off me.

"You stay away from my girlfriend before I have to fuck you up again." Connor said as he pulled Drake up by the collar of his shirt. Seeing Connor protect me like that made my heart well up until I remember what happened last night. I rushed past my friends and into the building towards the terminal where we were going to board.i sat down heavily. A few minutes later, my friends walked over and silently sat next to me. Sarah cleared get throat and I looked up only to see Connor walking toward me. I stood up, ready to knock him down the first chance he got to try to apologize. He stopped in front of me. We stared at each other until he cracked a smile.

"That mouth of yours always gets you in trouble." he said, holding back his laugh.

"Well, you know me, miss big mouth. Its hereditary." I said laughing.

"Anyways, I really am sorry about the whole thing, but to tell you the truth, it was all a lie. She admitted on Twitter last night because of the people at the restaurant were hounding us so bad. That's why I called you and sent you the link. I was hoping after everything we've been through you would know that I would never hurt you. But, if you don't want to get back together, I'm fine with that, but you can't stop being my friend."he said, looking me straight in the eyes.

"Don't be mad, but I deleted everything this morning. But I would love to still be friends. And to make it up to me, you have to film us dancing around the airport for my music video." I said handing him the camera and tripod. I started the music again and we began dancing, and pulling in innocent people to dance with us in the video. Just when we were getting really into it, they announced the flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles was now boarding. We put everything away and pulled out our tickets. While waiting in line, Connor grabbed my hand. Instead of pulling away, I squeezed it. I looked up at him, smiling, just as I did during graduation. We walked down the terminal towards the plane. When we got to the seats, I turned to face him.

"Its time to let go." I said releasing my hand. He nodded as he released his and walked pass me to his seat. I settled down in mine near the window and looked out. California, here I come.
