A Girl Named Anna

The First Day of School

When Anna woke up the morning of her first day of her new school she thought" I cannot believe it is the first day of Jr. Prep High School. I am so nervous! What if nobody likes me and I am the oddball.  What if I cannot find anyone I like and I am always picked last for everything. What if..."" ANNA TIME TO GET UP!!!" yelled her mom from the kitchen.  " COMING" yelled Anna from her room. As Anna got dressed she kept thinking of her What If questions and she started to hyperventilate when her mom ran into her room with her oxygen tank. " Honey, Oh My Gosh are you OK?" All Anna could manage was to give a thumbs up. 

When Anna was finally felling better her mom helped her down stairs to the breakfast bar. Her mom said " You know what Anna? I will make you your favorite breakfast!" "What?" said Anna. Her mom said while she was getting out the griddle, " French Toast!" When her mom finally finishes cooking the French Toast Anna gobbled it down because after she hyperventilates she is always super hungry. When she finished her toast she went upstairs as calm as can be and went to do her hair, her makeup and brush her teeth. 

When her mom yelled "Honey the bus is here she had just finished putting on her makeup. She then ran out of her house right as the bus was pulling up. SCREECH went the bus as it came to a halt. When Anna got on the bus she saw that here was only about four kids on the bus. She went and sat by a girl that looked very lonely. She said " Hi I'm Anna what's your name?" The girl said " Hi my name is  Rachel. What  school do you go to?" I am going to Jr. High Prep. You?" SAME!" It was silent the whole rest of the way to Jr. Prep. 

When the bus pulled to a stop at the Jr high everyone was like "WOW! It's huge!!!." Everyone filed off the bus in an orderly manor and then ran up to catch their friends who had just arrived or were waiting for them to arrive. Rachel and Anna stayed near each other and went to class together. 

When Rachel and Anna got to Ms. Bigelow's room they saw that they were one of the very first people there. They set their stuff on two open desks in the back of the room and then went out of the room to look around and go to their lockers. They noticed that their lockers were right next to each other and that they both had a top locker. When they put their backpack and went and looked for their classes together the bell rang starting first period. 

When they got into class and sat down Ms. Bigelow walked in and clapped her hands very loud. She then said, " Class! Welcome to Jr Prep High School everybody. I am Ms. Bigelow." She then wrote it on the board and said her name as if we were babies when we are in middle school. " B-I-G-E-L-O-W. That is how you pronounce my name. Now class we will get our seating chart and then I will explain the schedule to you. 

After she told us where we were going to sit Anna and Rachel sat right next to each other.  Then Ms. Bigelow told them the schedule. " First Period-  8:25-9:55, Second Period- 10:00- 11:25, First Lunch- 11:25- 11:50,Third Period 11:55- 1:20, Fourth Period 1:20-3:07 and then you go home."  All of the kids moaned at the thought that it was only 8:30 and they still had seven hours to go. 

When the bell rang for the end of second period Ms. Bigelow's room was deserted in less than 30 seconds except for Rachel and Anna because they had to gather their things and were talking to Ms Bigelow. When they finish talking with each other the tardy bell had just rung so Ms. Bigelow gave them Admit to Class passes. 

When Rachel and Anna were walking to their next classes they realized that Rachel had Science and Anna History. They said goodbye because then they would see each other soon in math.
