***Five Years Earlier***
"Is he going to be okay?" I asked the doctor as he pulled me into a room. He sighed and took a deep breath and said, "I don't think so Mrs. Taylor."
"What do you mean?" I asked louder, warm tears welling up in my eyes.
"Harrison has brain damage. He won't remember a lot of things, he'll get irritated quickly. You'll have to work with him, and most importantly you'll have to be patient." I broke down then and there. My husband would have no idea who I was. He wouldn't remember the day we met, falling in love, and our wedding day.
"I don't think I can" I said fleeing the room. I couldn't possibly care for another human being. I don't think I would be able to handle him not knowing all the memories we created together all the fantastic moments we shared. I had to go, I had to leave. And with that I left California and moved to New York City.
