Harry felt trapped.

Locked away with no way out.

His mother and father say it is for his own good but Harry believes it's just so he will not say anything embarrassing in front of reporters.

Harry just wanted to be free and experience life for himself but the only way he feels that he can accomplish this is when he becomes King.

Harry dreads the day of his coronation. He dreads the day that he will have to lead the country. He just wanted to be able to walk in the city Square without a butler or security guard following him or even paparazzi.

"Your grace?" One of his many maids enters his room and bows before him.

"Yes?"

"Queen Anne has requested your presence in the dining hall."

"Thank you. You are dismissed." Harry sighs and gets out of bed and walks down the spiral of stairs to the dining hall where his family is seated, waiting for his arrival.

"Harry, so glad you could make it." Harry adjusts his shirt before taking a seat at the table. The chef serve them and they begin to eat. Soon enough, Harry's father clears his throat and sets his fork down.

"Your tutors have said that you have not been paying attention to your studies. To be a great king, like myself, you must pay attention." Harry rolls his eyes and lets out a soft sigh.

"What if I don't want to be king?" Harry looks up at his father with testing eyes to see how he would respond.

"What?" Desmond's booming voice made an echo in the dining hall.

"Harry." His mother whispers while Harry shakes his head.

"Where have you thought of such nonsense?"

"I just don't understand why I have to be locked away while all of you get to experience the outside?"

"It is for your own good so you can be a great king." Harry looks away and mumbles.

"How can I be a great king when I can't even see my own people?" Harry's father bangs his fist on the table with anger.

"Harry Edward! I have had enough of your childish banter. What have I told you about-"

"Being a great king starts with respect in the family. I know, I've heard this all before." Harry looks back at his father with a dead glare.

"Go upstairs now! Dinner is over!" Harry's father throws his table cloth on his plate and pulls away from the table.

"I didn't even do anything!" Harry yells back at his father.

"I will send one of the guards up there to watch you. I don't want to hear anymore from you!" Harry gets up from the table and goes to his room with a sigh and shuts his door.

He opens the door to his balcony and takes in the evening air.

"Your grace, please come back inside." Harry turns around and sees a guard with his hand and and Harry scoffs.

"I can't even watch the sunset. Typical." He turns back around and watches the sun set on the horizon. He leans on the ledge and wonders to himself.

When will his life begin?

"Harold, please come inside." Harry turns around and sees his mother entering the room. The guard bows and walks back outside to guard the room.

"What did I do now?" Harry steps back inside and sits on his bed with his mother.

"You know the rules."

"Cannot go outside the fence under any circumstances. I know the rules, Mother."

"Honey, we want to protect you becaus-"

"Because I'm next in line for the throne! I know! If I knew becoming King would be this bad, I should just give the title to Gemma!"

"You know it's the first born son." Harry groans out in frustration.

"No one understands how isolated I feel! You keep me locked away here from the rest of the world! I am only allowed out when we are doing press conferences and even then I am heavily guarded."

"Harry, it is for your own good."

"I just want to be with my own peers for once without anybody interrupting me to tell me that I have another meeting or that the people are too close to me o-"

"Alright, alright! I get what you mean. You want to feel normal."

"It's not just that. I-"

"You want people to look at you for you rather than the Prince of England."

"If you understood me the first time, how come it took me all of that explaining for you to understand?" Anne rolls her eyes and sits on her son's bed.

"I was like you once , Harry. I was a princess dreaming of something better, wanting to become something more." Harry, curiously, sat next to his mother on his bed.

"What did you do?"

"I married your father and became a Queen." Harry's face drops in disgusts and stands back up.

"You do not get it. Why can't you let me spend a week in normal school? There's a school right by the palace and-" Anne shakes her head and throws her hands up.

"Absolutely not. Your father would throw a fit."

"He's going to be gone on conference for a couple of weeks so he wouldn't even know if I even did anything."

"He'd sure find out in the tabloids-" Anne stops to think and stands up with an idea.

"But you wouldn't if you couldn't be recognized." Harry turns to his mother with a smile.

"Do you mean I can actually leave the palace?"

"My son, I just want you to be happy and if spending a week in normal school will get you back on track with becoming king then we can try it out." Harry almost passes out in excitement.

"I will have calls be made out tomorrow. This will be out secret, Harold."

"Our secret."
