Waking Up to Little Miss Sunshine

"Liza wake up!", screamed my little sister, Chloe. "We're gonna be late!". She jumped up on my aesthetically pleasing white bed. My namaste pillow fell to the floor. I groaned and picked her up. I began to tickle her and she was squealing and gasping. I smiled and dropped her onto the floor. With a triumphant grin I settled back into the fluffy comforter.

A thunk. She was back on my bed. Before I could pull the blanket over my head again she sat on my stomach. I groaned. "Fine Chloe, I'm up". I tossed back the blanket and my feet hit the soothing, fluffy rug that adorned my wood floors.  I stretched and looked mournfully at the now empty bed, beckoning me to get back in. I tore my eyes away from it and looked at my little sister. "Alright then", I said. "What are we gonna be late to?"

15 minutes later, I'm pulling the tesla up to the biggest Build-A-Bear-Workshop I have ever seen. The huge glass windows show children running around hugging their plush bears. Frilly skirts and faux leather jackets give the stuffed animals style and mothers push around strollers and haul diaper bags. Chloe anxiously pulls at my sleeve. "C'mon Liza let's goooo already". I began the walk across the parking lot, half checking for cars, half checking for people I know. I don't even know how I got roped into this. I went downstairs for breakfast with Chloe tailing behind me. My mom was unusually cheerful which gave away a lot. She told me Chloe had been wanting to go all week and she was wondering if I could take her. She worded it like a question, but I'm smart enough to know it was a command. So after breakfast I pulled on my american flag tee shirt and jean shorts. It was going to be a long day.
