~Karmin's POV~

Spencer, Celia, Finnick, and Maria walk into the party. Who the hell invited them? The only one I don't mind being here is Finnick. Him and I have have become pretty good friends lately. I know that Amy probably hates me right now, but whatever.

"Who invited them?" Raelynn asks and I shrug.

I look over at Zayn who shrugs also. "I didn't invite them."

"I wonder who then," I ponder.

"They probably just crashed it Donovan shrugs, taking a swig of his beer.

"Hey Kare Bear," Finnick smiles and gives me a warm hug.

"Hi Finnick," I hug him back. "How are you?"

"I'm good," he replied. "How are you, Zayn?" he turns to him.

"I'm fine," Zayn grumbles before grabbing my hand and leading me away from Finnick.

"What the hell?" I exclaim, ripping my hand from his grasp after we stop by the staircase.

"You and Finnick are being way too friendly with each other. Ever since him and Amy called things off, he's been hanging off of you like some love sick puppy. Do you two have something going on?" he says lowly.

I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest. "You're being ridiculous," I argue. "You're always flirting with Celia anyway, so why would you even care?" I add.

"I haven't been flirting with her," he argues.

"Yes, yes you have. She's the one that almost ruined our relationship in the first, and I thought that you didn't like her anyway," I snap.

"I don't," he says, but I know he's lying.

"Don't lie, Zayn. Might as well just go hook up with her now," I fire before turning away.

I feel his grip on my arm. I'm pulled back into his chest.

"Karmin, stop being difficult," he whispers in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.

"I'm not being difficult," I push away from him. Hurt flashes in his eyes, but I push the guilt aside. "I'm leaving," I state before walking away.

This time, Zayn doesn't hold me back. But deep inside, I wish that he did. The tears are almost falling when I reach Ashlynn.

"I'm sorry Ash, but I'm gonna go. Happy birthday," I say and hug her.

"Thanks Karmin. At you okay?" she questions.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I try to smile.

She eyes me skeptically. "I'll text you," she says and I nod. I wave goodbye to Lawrence.

As I'm walking toward the exit, I look over and see Celia hanging off Zayn. Good, she can have him, because I'm done.

"Karmin?" a voice says softly. I look up and meet Finnick's soft eyes. "Are you okay?"

"No," I admit.

"Want to go somewhere and talk?" he asks.

I nod. He puts his hand on the small of my back and leads me out.

"Did you drive here?" he asks.

"I came with Zayn," I sigh.

"No worries, I'll drive you home," he smiles for my sake and takes out his keys.

"Thanks Finnick," I smile a little. He leads us to his car and holds open the door for me.

We end up parking in some deserted parking lot. I tell him why Zayn pulled me aside, and he apologizes multiple times for making it seem like we had something going on between us.

I assure him that it's okay, and Zayn was just overreacting. Zayn's never really been the jealous type anyway, so what's his deal?

"Thank you, Finnick," I say when we pull in front of my house.

"You're always thanking me," he chuckles lightly. "You don't have to."

"Yes, I do," I smile. I lean over in the seat and hug him goodbye. He kisses my cheek, which shocks me, but is probably just a friendly gesture.

"See you, Karmin," he whispers.

"Yeah, see you," I reply before getting out of the car and going inside.
