Anouk held my fingers when we squatted down to speak to Jasper, she stood between my open knees and her bare feet dig into the grass. "She broke a tooth about a week ago now, and she will be a year tomorrow." He had been buried for two weeks now, small sprouts of grass grew from the piled dirt of his grave. Anouk yelled and stepped into the loose dirt. I exhaled sharply and stood up at the hips with my upper body still bent over to hold her up. "Ready for me to take her?" The surrogate nurse came up behind me and tapped my shoulder. Her ginger hair and crooked teeth mocked my eyes as I handed the blonde baby to her. I turned on my heels and met with Sol and Dakoda at the front door. "Things are quiet, where did everyone go?" I peeked around them and into the large building where the thousands of people should be. "They left. Some went to train or scout around or just walk. We wanted permission to go see the trader." I nodded and just pushed around them and assented the steps to the room I shared with Clarke. "I missed you." She came up and kissed my cheek and traced her fingers down my arm. I held two hundred and six lives on my arm now, some reached over my shoulder and I had a black band tattooed into my upper arm in Jaspers name.

"Why didn't you go out with everyone else?" She smiled at me. "I wanted to ink you. Lay out on your back I want your belly." She took my shirt over my head and I left to lay out on the bed. She joined me a few seconds later with a bowl of ink and a needle stick. I tapped my fingers against her thighs when she pulled her calves to sit on either side of my hips. Her hands began tattooing at my ribs, dragging down to my belly button and back up around my breasts. "You have a scar here I've never noticed before." She poked right next to my nipple and put the ink on the ground. "That's because your teeth did that to me." I sat up and kissed her throat lightly. She ground her hips down into mine roughly and tore a moan from her throat. Her fingers wrapped around my nipple and tugged harshly, pushing me back down to the bed my that and she kissed my belly. "You know, this is the perfect time to go eat without being bothered every thirty seconds." She lifted her body off mine an inch. "I don't want to eat food I want to eat you." I flipped her onto her back and kissed down her body to her thighs. She grunted when my tongue met her warm wetness, pushing down harder and twisting around to increase friction. I pushed two fingers into her warm body and she stilled, then thrusted against my hand. Her back arched and she came screaming, painting against my shoulder and her nails dug into my back.

Her skin stuck to mine as I pulled away and grabbed a water skin to pass to her. "Do you miss him?" She was standing behind me now at the makeshift counter I had put in, arms wrapped around me and body pressed into mine. "Everyday. Sometimes I wake up and think I was dreaming but I look around and realise it wasnt." I turned in her arms and kissed the top of her head softly. "I will see him again someday though." I chuckled as she pushed her head into the hollow of my throat more. "I want to start scouting out the north sector, I don't want to be ambushed." She pulled away and walked over towards a bin with maps in it. Her naked body moved like water unhindered by the armor I'm use to seeing her in. "Plan of action?" I chuckled as she unrolled a map. I pointed towards the valley between two mountains. "Here, there is an underground tunnel we can all travel by. It will be tight but there is a basin we can hide in before we attack. Their defence is lower." I rubbed the small spot on the map and backed up to take a seat on the bed. I pulled my pants on, then threw my shirt on and tied a long knife around my hips.

"Underground isn't a bad idea, but the issue with that is they have bears." She raised her arms into the air and growled comically. I smirked and tapped her stomach with the back of my hand. "Bears aren't awake during the winter months usually. Now would be the perfect time to strike." She nodded and tossed her long hair back into a braid. "Let's go rally everyone up, we need to move."
