On a fresh morning, like the weather Vanelie always liked, perfect for another day for her plants to grow beautifully, she placed out her equipment for the park's garden job today.
"One bag of marigold seedlings, an array size of shovels, and let's not forget, a pair of handy gloves for safety!" She talks to herself ensuring she brought everything she needs for the day.
Walking out from the greenhouse, she met some of her co-workers and greet them, hearing her co-workers cheerful voices greeting her back, she felt energetic too. She felt like today is going to be an amazing day.
After finding the perfect spots for her marigold seedlings, she start planting them carefully, not wanting to harm the plants. One by one, the marigold seedlings are all planted carefully by her, making them planted orderly. She took a break after finished cleaning up the mess after planted the seedlings.
She found a bench near the marigold she just finished planted, she sweeps up some of the fallen leaves on the bench, and sit on the bench while took out her drink, mineral water, and start drinking it while also looking out what activities happening around her, it made her calm just enjoying the little things happening around her.
At the distance, she saw a girl jogging, with earbuds on her ears, tunes to make her feel time passes rather quickly, sweats on her body, hair tied up to a ponytail, the girl joggs rather swiftly like dancing to the tunes on her earbuds. Vanelie wondered, "She seems really enjoying her jogging... Maybe I should start jogging too... All I've been doing lately has been sitting around with plants surrounding me..."
Suddenly, the jogging girl sat beside her, taking a break from her jogging route. "What a nice today, isn't it? I really like how the sun is shining but it isn't hot scorching!" She ended her word with a laugh. Vanelie, a bit startled with the sudden conversation, she also laugh on cue since she actually didn't listen what she have said. Not knowing what to reply, the air feels awkward.
The jogging girl tried again to break the ice between them, she saw the dirt gloves on her hands, "Do you work in this park?". Vanelie now finally focused back answered her question, "Oh yes, I do, I work as a gardener in this park, I just finished planted those patches of marigold there" she pointed the marigold patches, "and what about you? Do you jog daily in this park?" She's now more interested in this stranger who greet her so suddenly today.
"Oh wow, those Marigolds are really pretty! I wondered too since usually there wasn't any flowers. And yes I do daily jog here, since it's close to the gym I work to and the park here is really nice, I like seeing the nicely planted flowers here" She answered back excitedly. "Oh, do you mean the gym down the road? I always passed that gym when I'm going home." Vanelie answered back as excited as her too.
"For real? Maybe we could go home together sometime! Oh and I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Rammy, nice to meet you!" Rammy smiled happily to her newfound friend. "Oh yes, I've forgotten to introduce myself as well, my name is Vanelie, it is nice meeting you as well, and that idea would be nice, maybe going home together sometime would feel less lonely" She hand out her hand, taking off her left glove to shake Rammy's hand which she quickly shake in excitement.
"And this is my number if you want to go home together sometime or just hanging out, since you seems like a chill person, and I went off from work at 5 pm!" She gives Vanelie a small paper with numbers on it. "I'll be waiting for your call or messages!" She runs off with a hint of red on her cheek, continuing her daily jogging rather faster now.
Surprised by how fast she run off just as like how she greeted her, this meeting would surely unforgettable to her. "5 pm huh... I should message her before that then if I want to go home together with her.. and she seems like a nice person.. kinda cute too..." She talked to herself but quieter on the last words while covering her mouth, with a hint of blush on her cheeks.
Clocks ticking, showing 30 minutes past 4 pm. Vanelie opened her phone and start messaging Rammy, but she was rather confused on how to worded it to message her and the clock keeps ticking while she thinks out, and the clock finally almost 5 pm. She just realized it was almost 5 pm and quickly ended up with, "Hello, this is Vanelie, the gardener you just greeted in the morning, hope it's not to late to ask for going home, even though it's almost the time you're going to be off from your work, would you want to go home together?" She pressed send with a bit of hesitation that she might be too late, but hoping she's not that late.
Rammy's phone vibrated, notificating a new message has arrived. She jumps to hold her phone, "Finally! A message from her! I was so worried she might turned down the offering..." She sighed gladly after reading the message and replied, "For real? I'm so happy you took my offering! I'll wait for you in front of the gym! :)"
Vanelie startled with the sudden buzzing on her phone, Rammy replied really quickly to her message, she smiled seeing her reply. She ran off from the greenhouse greeting out to her co-workers and start going to the gym.
In front of the gym, she doesn't know whether she should go in or not, well, she has never been going inside of the gym, and it may feel a bit awkward, so she just wanted outside. When she was going to message her, Rammy ran off from the gym front door to greet her, "Hey, are you waiting for a long time for me? I'm sorry I couldn't came out sooner" she gave her puppy eyes, begging for her forgiveness.
"Well... I don't really wait too long outside here, I just came actually, I'm really glad we can go home together" she smiled reluctantly, she felt a bit guilty seeing her puppy eyes, well it wasn't too long waiting for her outside, it was longer for debating she should go in or not. "So, what are we waiting for? Let's go home! By the way where is your home located? Mine is on the west side of the city, on the Reeves st. On the Holgen apartment."
"Oh what a coincidence! I live in the Reeves st. too! Though I live in a different apartment from you, on the Louvre apartment." She smiled sheepishly. "That's good then! Wanna come home together every day? Well, not every day, day" she emphasized, embarrassed that feels like a proposal, "Like, some day if you wanna go home together sometime or you know, have the time..?" She's now rather confused on how to communicate what she meant, her hands moves frantically to emphasize her words but it rather fall apart than helping her wording.
Vanelie chuckled seeing how frantically Rammy moved and answered her now confusion on wording, she knows what she meant, "Surely, ms. Rammy, I'd gladly invite you for going home together, now, let's go, it's rather late now, it'd be nice seeing a bed right now to me" Rammy smiled on her answer, "Okay, but you can drop the ms. It felt too formal too me! Let's just call by name, if you don't mind so"
Vanelie gazes soften, "Alright then, let's go home together, Rammy"
