I hesitate.
"Um...um...it ain't my fault." And I start running towards the exit. I realize I just walked in here. But I am nervous. I can't talk without almost fainting. I look around for somewhere to go. It is pretty dark out now, even though it has been 5 minutes since I walked in. I look over at the bright streetlight, and run the opposite direction. Now one can find me if they can't see me in the dark. I run without looking back. I hear stomps behind me. I ain't stopping. I feel a pull on my right elbow and get pulled back. Damn. I should've known Quentin was this strong. He pulls me back, and I trip. But I get caught. I look up and I am in Dylan's arms. I quickly stand up in shock and start running. But suddenly I get lifted up and over Quentin's left shoulder and he turns around and starts walking.
"Carelful with my shoulder!" I yell. I kick my feet.
"Let me down! Let me down!" I scream. All I hear is Dylan laughing. I sigh. He isn't gonna let me down. I put my legs down.
"Doggo." I say out of the blue. I hear them laugh. Then I realize. What the hell did I say that for? I see the street light appear again. Dang it. He carries me inside almost hitting my head on the top of the door. I glance over at Dylan, he looks at me, but put my head down in embarrassment.
Quentin stops and I see Tanner Braungardt out of the corner of my eye.
"Obviously you're a bad babysitter. This little one tried to escape." Quentin tells Tanner. He slowly lets me down. Tanner pulls me aside.
"What were you doing?" He asks.
"I got shy. Sorry." I feel my face get hot. I bet my cheeks look like tomatoes. Then I wonder, I am never shy. So why am I now?
Tanner nods and we turn and walk towards the gym. Maybe this could be fun. Maybe I will have to good time.
