Violet's POV
"But Daaaaaad, I don't like being tutored! It's boring and I have like, no friends or anything!"
"Violet Marie Sanders! I don't trust the people out there! What if they hurt you, or worse... Kidnap you! I can't risk that!" My dad, Tyler Sanders, says, irritation clear in his voice.
I sigh; I knew I was going to have to resort to this. I was currently trying to get my father to allow me to attend a public school instead of tutoring since I never got to leave the house. But of course, my father being like he always is, is being overprotective... Again.
"Fine..." I state, trying to hide the smirk that I so desperately want to give him.
His expression changed from one of irritation to one of shock, relief, and one that I can't quite recognize.
"Really...?" He says slowly, dripping with disbelief.
"I have decided what I want for my birthday." I emotionlessly state with no expression on my face.
My birthday just happened to be in the next week, and I knew that whatever I ask for I get. I was going to use this to my advantage.
"I want to go to a public school. More exactly, Oakland High."
