Destiny POV
Skipping school and practice
I walked to my car, Trey didn't come to practice today so I had to leave him at home. I didn't want to but, I made him go to our neighbor's the Morgans. They were an elderly couple who often watched their grand kids. Their sons are so fine, one of them owns a big business and the other is an artist.
I placed my bags inside the trunk of my car, I felt someone behind me. As a reflex I elbowed them, the person toppled over. I turned around seeing Conner on the floor, "When will people learn not to sneak up on me?" I said, closing my trunk and turning towards Conner who was getting up. "My bad, I came out here to apologize for the way I acted at Cookout. I shouldn't have done that, and I want to make it up to you." He said, this was golden. Conner never and I mean never felt the need to apologize to anyone. I looked at him with a blank face, checking to see if he was joking. "Apology accepted and you don't have to make it up to me." I told him honestly, I didn't see the need. "But I want to, maybe I can take you out sometime. As friends of course." He said, I nodded no harm in having more friends in your life. "Great, maybe this weekend we can go to the movies or something?" He said, I would've agreed but, I had the date with Will. "I can't this weekend, maybe next weekend yeah?" I told him, he nodded and said goodbye before walking to his car.
I sent a text to the girls telling them to come outside. "Why was Conner over here? Did he hurt you?" Will asked, he grabbed me looking for any marks. I pulled away from him, "Calm down, he just wanted to apologize for the whole Cookout incident and asked if we can hangout sometime." I told him, his eyes grew bigger. "No absolutely not, don't hangout with him and don't talk to him." He told me, did he really try to tell what to do? "News flash, you don't own me, therefore you're not going to tell me what I can and can not do." I told him, I was heated who is him? He is not my daddy. He leaned me against my car, arms on the side of my head looking at me. His eyes softened, "I'm not trying to control you, I'm just worried. I care about you, I don't want you getting hurt." He told me, kissing my neck softly.
He raised his head, looking into my eyes. His eyes were unique and I loved it. I loved how one was icy blue and the other a moon like grey. "I love your eyes." I told him, my arms were draped around his neck. He moved his arms to my waist, causing us to move closer. "Yeah? Well I love you dimples." He said, making me smile he poked at my dimples. I started to play with his hair at the bottom of neck, while he started drawing circles on my waist. It was nice, it was just us and no else. "I really do want to be with you. It's just hard you know? Like you're so head-strong, don't let anyone or anything get you down. You always know what you want and you always make sure you get it. You're perfect, and I'm just Will." He told me, never breaking eye contact. I honestly didn't know what to say. "Will, I'm nowhere near perfect. No one really is, we all have flaws but that's what makes us well us. You're literally one of the most amazing guys I've ever met. If we're both being honest, I'm glad I gave you another chance." I told him. A comfortable silence fell over us, "Will my chances be ruined if I kissed you?" He asked, I laughed and shock my head no. He leaned down, and kissed me. Honestly we when we kiss, I feel a million times better. I love that he holds me every time we kiss and that it's never rushed or rough. When we kiss, it's slow but not to slow and it's gentle and holds both of our emotions behind it.
"Crawford! Step away from Destiny now!" Coach yelled, making us pull apart. I bit my lips and looked down at the ground. I felt like I just got caught by my dad, I couldn't bring myself to look at Coach. "Sorry, Coach. She had needed help with her earring." Will said, did he really just say that? "Her earring huh? I didn't know her earring involved your mouth, I must of missed something." Coach said, I rolled my eyes he is so petty. "Do have act like such a dad?" I said, not in a rude way but I knew Coach got what I was saying. "Yes, yes I do. When your basically like a daughter to me I have to be." Coach said, he did have a point. "We promise to keep to a minimum Coach." Will said, wait we? who is we? "Let's keep to a minimum of zero." He said, glaring at Will. "Okay, thanks dad. Don't you have plays to make." I said, Coach nodded hugged me and made sure to glare/growl at Will. "I swear, Coach is practically your dad." Will said wrapping his arms around my waist leaning against my car. "Yeah, he's been in my life since I was 2. He is practically like a dad to me. It's worst since he has no girls." I told him, leaning into his embrace.
It was silent again, until Will spoke again. "Do you wear lingerie?" Will asked me, I looked up at him raising an eyebrow. "All you think about is sex and why do ask?" I said, stilling at him. He just shrugged, "Just wondering, I mean your body is all nice, thick, and like sexy chocolate bar." He said biting my ear, I laughed. "Thank you for the compliment. But the whole lingerie thing is for me to know and for you to maybe find out." I told him, his eyes went wide. "I bet you look good in red or black." He said, he is such a pervert. "Maybe when I go shopping you can come and give me some input." I said, he nodded his head so fast I thought it was going to snap. "Imagine this, us laying together. Me shirtless, tattoos showing with my arms around you. You laying in nothing but my shirt looking like a beautiful sexy chocolate princess." Will said, making me blush. "I am a queen boo." I told him, flipping my hair. "Of course you are. My beautiful sexy chocolate Queen, next to her handsome equally sexy vanilla King." He said kissing my cheek, rubbing my stomach. I blushed, I'm not ashamed of my body. Everyone is perfect in their own unique way. But having Will complement me and not being afraid of these curves is amazing.
"I told y'all they would be fucking!" L'niyah yelled, I rolled my eyes I really needed a new group of friends. "Destiny a freak, out here getting down in the parking lot." Chanel said. "Can't wait to see that side baby." Will said in my ear kissing my neck. "Maybe later." I winked at him, he laughed and kissed me. There was a chorus of "Ooh's" and "Get it bitch" from my friends. "Enough of that, all hoes inside of my car." I said after pulling away from Will. I didn't get far before he pulled me back. "I'm a high classed thot, get it right boo." L'niyah said flipping her hair. "More like the krusty krab version of a thot." Rocky said. "We're all thots. But who is coming to my sleepover tomorrow?" Chanel asked. "Sleepover?" Will asked looking at me. "Yeah each year, since high school we have one. You should come, and invite Conner and Travis." I told him, he was hesitant to Conner but he knew I would have the final say. "Looks like a full house guys. That's a lot of food, y'all better bring y'all own stuff just saying." Chanel said. "I have a better idea, why not talk about this tomorrow when it's not late at night." Noah said, making her glare at him. "Suck one okay and I'll text Destiny the details and she'll send it out." Chanel said, she didn't have to ask knowing I'll do it.
We all left before school security came. I made my way home after picking up Trey, I texted my mom telling her we'll be eating out. She said it was fine and to come home soon, she had something to tell me. "Des, did you read the paper?" Trey asked me, eating his Chinese food. "Yes, you're going to first sleepover, are you excited?" I asked him, eating my food. "Yeah, Ava and Ethan invited the whole class. But not everyone is going. Only me, Donovan, Noelle, Iris and her sister Zoya, Eli, Christian and Isaac are going." He told me, the excitement never leaving his eyes. "That's a lot, we can pack your bag when you come home from school." I told, he nodded. We finished our dinner and drove home.
When we got back, Trey went straight to his room. I laid out our clothes, made his lunch and made a list of what he needs to bring to the sleepover. I was about head upstairs when I heard my mom come downstairs. "Oh good, you're still up." She said coming into the kitchen doorway. "Yeah just finished making Trey's lunch. What's up?" I asked her leaning against the kitchen island. "I have some serious news. We need to talk just you and me." She said sitting down, I followed suit. "I'm just going to say it. Your dad and I are leaving this weekend. We're going to Washington, and we'll be back Monday afternoon. Peter is going to be here, but I know Chanel is having the sleepover and Trey told me he is going to one too. The reason I'm telling you all this is because, I'm seeing doctor. I've been really sick lately and I found out I have Breast and Ovarian cancer." She finished. I just sat there, mind and body blank. I could lose my mom before really even having her.
Guess who is back? MEEEEEEEEE that's who
I finished this chapter in one day sort of.
I enjoyed writing this one until the end. I lost my grandma to cancer so it's going to be difficult writing this.
Thoughts on Destiny and Will moments, I personally loved it
Thoughts on Coach, really deserves the Best Dad Award
Thoughts on the bomb Destiny's mom just dropped
Finally, how do you think Destiny will react to the news? How will Trey? How will this news effect all the characters and relationships in general?
