alex and i walk out of class. i look right then left, unsure of where to go.

"come on april, sit with the group. i'm pretty sure the boys love you already anyways." I can already tell i'm going to get attached to these people. they're all so caring and sweet. i just don't want to see them get hurt. i give in. even though i didn't fight the offer with him, world war I was happening in my head. i follow him into the massive lunch room.

i see the boys and the girls. they stand out because they're all so tan with blonde hair. everyone else is tan, but no where near and tan as them.

the group send me smiles, greeting me. i sit between alex and nick. i try to start a conversation with the girls, i want to get to know them.

"so, caitlin, olivia and alley. what do you girls do for fun." i feel a bit of awkward tension, but not enough to make me feel uncomfortable.

"well all of us girl skateboard, and only caitlin surfs. olivia and I are too clumsy to surf." alley speaks up. i skate, but i don't surf.

"alex is an amazing surfer, do you surf?" olivia asks

"uh not really, i've never really tried haha." i answer truthfully.

"i could teach you, it's easy. and i hope you like to skydive." skydive.. skydive? i've always wanted to skydive, but i've never really put the effort into planning it.

"i've always wanted to skydive, and good luck teaching me how to surf. " i tell alex. the boys seem surprised that didn't say no to going skydiving. well, i never really said yes either.

"you'll be fine." alex says, forcing me to smile.

"but we have to go cliff jumping, i love cliff jumping." there was a moment of silence before someone else spoke.

"alex, you've picked the right girl here" Bayely says. i feel i'm fitting in.

The rest of the day goes by smoothly. turns out alex is in my math and chemistry class, nick is in my history and english class, bayley is in my woodworks class and all the girls are in my HPE and physics class. good thing i'm not alone in any of my classes.
