A clear sequence of events that occurs over time. Both what happens and the order in which the events occur are communicated to the reader. Effective narration requires a writer to give a clear sequence of events (fictional or non-fictional) and to provide elaboration.Explanation:

What not to do:
• rush, have a plot, build it up. Cliffhangers are cruel but awesome! Have you ever read a book where you just know what happens next? That feeling is what you want to give from your book
• over dramatise it, you don't need to add every thing that could I wrong under the sun into the first 5 chapters, your writing is interesting as it is
• miss opportunities, foreshadow things. See who notices!What to do:
• use these techniques!!
• include complex and not cliche characters
• use a wide range of vocabulary
• plan your story
• and only wrote it if you want to! No matter how many people comment, if you don't want to then don't update.
