Kade's POV-
In the back of my mind I know that coming here would be a bad idea. The last time my precious Aralynn saw these so-called Rangers, she changed back into Light.
I decide that I can prevent that this time, and I push these thoughts from my mind, turning my attention to Aralynn and the two Rangers. Ember and Ari have displayed themselves in battle positions, as if we would battle them today.
"Did you hear me? Why don't we get all of the Rangers in one place? Wouldn't that be nice?" I hear Aralynn's voice and turn to face her.
Then Ember speaks up. "I don't think you would want that, Aralynn," she says, a sly grin forming on her face.
"I don't believe I would have asked if I didn't, Ember," Aralynn says, the same sly grin playing at her lips.
"Fine," Ari is talking now, "but only if you're sure."
I can tell that they are simply stalling. "She is sure," I say.
"Okay," Ember says.
Ari walks over to a cell phone that is sitting on a table about five feet from where Ember is standing. Ari picks it up and dials, bringing the phone to her ear.
"Hello? Damien? Yeah, is Annie with you? Good. We kinda have a situation at Embers house. Could you get here ASAP? Thanks, bye." I chuckle at the one-way conversation.
"So we're just 'kinda a situation'? Tsk tsk tsk. You should have warned him," I say. I turn to Aralynn. "Aralynn, a word please?"
"Of course," Aralynn responds. "Would you two give us a moment?" She says, and Ember and Ari walk into another room, whispering to each other.
"Now that we know where to find them, let's go back home and form a plan," I tell Aralynn, quiet enough so that Ari and Ember can't eavesdrop.
"Alright, but I want to leave them a little . . . trouble," Aralynn responds, her sly grin morphing into an evil, ear to ear smile.
"What kind of trouble?" I ask, the same evil smile displayed on my face.
She reaches into her pocket and retrieves a small bomb. She sets the timer for five minutes. "I have no doubt that they will defuse this, it is simply to show them that they shouldn't mess with us."
"I don't doubt that they could defuse it either," I say truthfully. "It will also help us with our getaway."
"Lovely," Aralynn says.
"Ember, Ari, come out now," Aralynn says in a singsong voice. She starts the timer on the bomb and tosses it to Ari. I love the looks of panic that come over their faces as Aralynn and I make our getaway.
