Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a land not as far away as you'd imagine, there lived a princess. The princesses name was Anastasia or Ana, as she liked to be called, and she was typical princess. She was absolutely beautiful, people told her that she looked just like a fairy in human form and her eyes were as blue as the sky on those summer afternoons that seemed to last forever. Her hair was as golden as a newly polished golden spoon, and the sight of her wonderful smile could melt even the iciest heart.
You would think that a princess like her had the most sparkling live, living in a castle with servants, riches, and beautiful gowns. While she had a lot of money and pretty things, her life isn't as nice as you'd imagine. She had a big problem on her hands. Her mother wanted to give away her hand in marriage. She wanted her to marry a handsome prince from the kingdom next to theirs; Anastasia had no interest in marrying this prince, so she fought back. She yelled at her mother,
"You can't make me do this against my will!",
but her mother calmly replied with
"Oh yes, I can."
and with that Anastasia's mother locked her up in her chamber to wait for the arrival of the prince. Ana knew she couldn't do anything to change her mother's mind.
The day after was the day Ana would meet her prince, she and her mother had been invited to the engagement celebration at the prince's castle. Ana's mother was nicely prepared for this party with her hair perfectly made and body squeezed into a dress with an impossibly small waist. Even though Ana didn't want any of this, her mother made her get into an attire just as silly as her mother's. After all, this party was arranged just for her.
They arrived to the prince's castle in an elegant carriage pulled by two blindingly white horses. The driver opened the door for them. The massive doors opened and they walked inside. Just a couple of steps into the big castle a young man grabbed her arm, Ana assumed he was this "handsome prince" that she would marry, and they started dancing. They both were great dancers, they were raised that way, so wasn't hard for them at all. But it didn't feel right for her. She knew was supposed to feel something right now, she reed about it lots. But no, she felt nothing, not a single butterfly in her stomach. Oh sure he was good looking, had a handsome face and a muscular body, but nevertheless the princess felt nothing towards the man in front of her at all. So Ana pulled away from him while the symphony continued with their beautiful sounds. The prince didn't let her go just yet, he pulled her closer to him by her waist and whispered in her ear.
"Am I doing something wrong?"
"No not at all", Ana rushed her answer and excused herself that she needed the bathroom, and with those words she turned around and walked away quickly, almost running.
She didn't pay enough attention forward so she bumped into someone, this was when she felt it. The it she was supposed to feel with the prince, but this wasn't the prince. It was a gorgeous woman, standing in front of her, she had short chestnut brown hair and green eyes the kind green eyes that looked like the first spring leaves on a plum tree. A couple of moments passed and Ana realised that she her mind was racing away.
"Are you lost?", the women asked her, Ana simply nodded and asked for the toilet.
The women showed her the way and waited outside for her.
"What's your name, Lady", Ana asked her.
"I'm Chris, you?"
"Ana", said Anastasia and smiled gently at Chris.
Anastasia then heard a voice call for her so she excused herself and walked towards the voice calling. It was the prince who was tired of waiting for her, Ana painted a fake smile on her face and the couple started to dance again.
