     I'm gonna die...

Fiona was frozen on her back in fear she watching with wide eyes the lizard raise it's arm over it's head. She heard nothing but the ringing in her ears and her pounding heartbeat. She thought about her mom, how pretty she was when she was alive a couple hours ago.  Her brother who she so quickly failed. Merely hours after leaving the vault shes already got herself killed.

The girl let out a small chuckle choking out a bit of blood. But suddenly the silence was broken. Blood spilled all over Fiona drenching her. Was it hers? No it's coming from above her. Multiple gunshots into the beasts head. Still in her daze she watched it's arm fall to its side. "On your right!" The man's words brought her back into reality, she shot over to her left as the huge lizard collapsed on her right, just as he said.

Fiona's heart raced as she saw the collapsed animal next to her. She looked to her left to find her savior. A guy stood a few feet away, a combat shotgun slung over his shoulder. "You ok?" He asked squatting down beside her. Her mind raced as she searched his face, he didn't seem threatening, and he saved her. "Y-yeah thank you." Fiona choked out catching her breath.  "Wow you're really fucked up, huh?" He had a blank possibly even bored expression. He had a twang of an accent in his voice, definitely a Boston local. She studied him a bit more still shocked at the fact that she's not dead at the moment. He was tall and cut, he looked to be close to her age maybe a little older, he wore dirty red sneakers, black jeans and a black shirt along with some mismatched armor plates. His amber eyes seemed to glow with the low lights of late afternoon, his hair was so dark brown it almost seemed black. "Take a picture it lasts longer" he sighed standing then ripping out a machete from the beasts neck. He returned it to his belt pulling his rifle across his body.

Fiona then remembered the settlers that were trapped in the museum. The guy reached a gloved hand out to Fiona. "You just gonna hang out with the Deathclaw or what?" He seemed slightly annoyed, Fiona while still in a daze grabbed his hand. He hoisted her up pulling her arm over his shoulder and leaning down to hold her waist. Her mysterious savior helped her get back to the museum partially carrying her. She had to admit it made her heart flutter a bit, feeling his toned shoulders and arm around her, despite the immense pain in her ribs. He looked like the type of guy all the girls would throw themselves at in highschool.

FIONA

The man helped me up the steps into the museum. Once we were inside Dogmeat rushed to my side licking my hand and trying to jump on me. I let go of the guy to pet the soft dog and I immediately felt a lot better.
"Wow Fiona that was a pretty amazing display.. I'm glad you're on our side!" Preston chirped leaning against the wall. "Thanks Preston but if this guy hadn't been there I would have been eaten by that monster lizard." I smiled lightly.  Dogmeat ran over to him jumping and barking on his legs. He awkwardly patted the dogs head with a weird look.

If he doesn't like dogs we can't be friends

"Oh hey Erin, showed up just in time I guess!" Preston walked over to the guy, Erin, and clapped a hand on his back.  "Yeah, really, thank you if you had been a second behind I'd be dead." I laughed awkwardly, wincing a little. "well maybe if you screamed a little louder, would've gotten here sooner." He said without looking at me, he then rummaged through his pocket and tossed me a stim, again without looking.

Well he's grumpy

"Well then Fiona, Erin, we're heading out to sanctuary, that place mama Murphy talked about. If you would, we'd love to have you join us."  Preston offered. One of the settlers, an angry looking lady, handed me my backpack. I nodded a thank you and turned back to Erin and Preston. "Sure Preston, it's a nice place I liked living there, before.." "before what?" Preston asked looking over at me. "Uh. Oh nevermind." I shook my head he shrugged and walked back I've to his group.

I felt much better after using the stimpack. My ribs and back didn't hurt hardly at all anymore. I threw my bag over my shoulder. Preston started to lead his group out, Erin and I following a distance behind. A heavy silence blanketed us.

"So who are you exactly?" I asked looking up at him. "Could ask you the same thing" he shot back yet again not looking at me.

What's this guys deal?

I awkwardly looked down at my pipboy to check the time, then I saw the date.

I was asleep for 200 years...

It didn't quite register in my brain as we just kept walking. I realized I didn't answer him. What am I supposed to say? Hi my name's Fiona and I've been frozen for 2 centuries? "Uh, oh im Fiona Lance.. the dog led me hear to help Preston and his friends." He  just grunted in response. "You're from a vault. 111 or 101? Can't tell your suits ripped to shreds." "Wha- how did yo-" "you're wearing a vault suit and a pipboy. Obviously from a vault. You from the capital? Or did you ice a vault dweller and take their shit?" He let out a slight chuckle with the last question. "Oh. I'm from vault 111." "Thought so."
"What does that mean?" Not sure if I I was supposed to take offence to that of not, he didn't seem particularly aggressive, just not too nice. "Well a normal person would haul ass in the other direction if they even think they saw a deathclaw."

Ok he's kind of a jerk...

"Thanks for saving me, I guess. I'll get out of your way now." I started to walk off with Dogmeat. "Where you going?" He looked over at me for the first time. "To find my brother. He was kidnapped." I bit my lip and looked down at Dogmeat. "Oh." Erin said looking away. "how old?" He asked. At his point we both had stopped walking and a few feet away from each other. "less than a year." I sniffed back my tears. Erin was very visibly uncomfortable. "I'm sorry." He didn't sound nearly as harsh as before. I swallowed and continued to walk away, untill he spoke again.

"I could help... If you want." He said so incredibly softly I almost had to ask him to repeat. I paused for a minute. Less than an hour ago this man wouldn't look at me. I don't know him at all but he could have let me die. He didn't have to help, and he got absolutely nothing for it. I could use all the help I can get, so I decided to trust him. "I'd love the help." I smiled sweetly and walked back over to him. Dogmeat happily padded behind me. Erin cleared his throat and began walking again, i following closely behind, Hart to keep up with his long strides. " Best place to start is probably diamond city." His tone back to the way it was before, bored. "Thank you Erin. This means a lot to me." I smiled, knowing he wouldn't look at me. "You'd probably just go and get yourself killed. You don't know anything about out here do you?" He scoffed.

At least hes helping me

"Long story short I don't." I shrugged looking back at my pipboy.

200 years wow it doesn't feel real

"Alright then. Stay behind me. Don't get fucking killed."
