Dark, quiet, empty. My room. My safe place.

It was nice, my room. Dark walls covered it. I had to repaint them a while ago, as they where once a gross light blue. Now a darker shade of grey showed through where my posters and art didn't meet. Red curtains covered any outside light. The only source of lighting was a lamp and strands of "fairy lights" that hung across my ceiling and top parts of my walls.

Though now that I think about it I wouldn't really call my room quiet. I always had my music playing. Mostly to block out the sounds of my sister and brother. Well they weren't really my siblings. Or at least I didn't consider them my sister and brother.

Anyways, my room. Dark, empty and what was a word for quiet except for music and the occasional video game sound effects? Maybe-

"Kenma!" A female voice shrieked, most likely my...adopted sister Kirta.

I sighed heavily, closing my notebook. Quickly I grabbed the Xbox controller and paused my music, sighing again. "What!?" I shouted back, whining a bit.

"You're friend is here! And if you hadn't had your music so loud you would know that!" Kirta shouted at me annoyed.

My music hadn't been that loud, had it? "Yeah yeah let him in please?" I slumped back on my bed. I already knew who it was, Shoyo. He was probably wondering where I had ran off to at the party, since I did just leave him with his boyfriend Kageyama to go hangnout with someone I had just met and a few of his friends.

It only took a few seconds for him to come bounding into my once (slightly) quiet room. "Kenma! Where where you last night?! I was scared! You left me and Kageyama alone, we had no ride to get home! My mother nearly killed me when she found out I had to walk home! You were supposed to drive me what happened?!..." He starting ranting breathlessly. I zoned him out, not to be rude, but when he rants he doesn't stop till he's choking on his own words needing air.

Dark, occupied, loud. Those words described my room now. I closed my eyes and yawned, still ignoring Shoyo. Would I tell him a lie? Or just tell him the truth which would probably be distorted since I wouldn't remember much.

I knew I had drank a lot when I had left the party and went to hangout, but I had only remembered bits and pieces. I didn't even remember how I got home. I surely didn't drive.

"Kenma? KENMA!" Shoyo was now shouting at the top of his lungs which he knew broke my thinking by the smile he was giving me.

"What?" I huffed staring up at the overly hyper kid.

"Aren't you going to answer my question? Where did you go? Since you obviously didnt come home." His smile turned into a smirk. He knew that I hadn't gone home so that lie was gone.

"I.. Well um I went to go hang out with a new... Friend..." I muttered. Friend was an appropriate word, right? Probably not but it was the first thing that popped into my head.

"Friend? Aren't I your only friend? Since you don't really like people, let alone making friends." He sighed and plopped on the end of my bed.

"Well yeah, I guess, though he wasn't really a friend. He wouldn't leave me alone and insisted I hung out with him and his friends. I drank too much and didn't know what I was doing..." My last few words trailed off. "And so i woke up here not knowing how i got here with and now have a major hangover." I added making sure he would drop the conversation. Shoyo, in response, planted his face in my bed and groaned.

The room went guiet for a few minutes besides the soft thumps of Hinata's shoes hitting the edge of my bed.  "So..... What did you guys do?" He finally spoke up like I knew he would. Shoyo lifted his head and looked at me innocently.

"God Sho, I don't even remember most of it. All I remember is last names, faces, and one game we played. After that it gets fuzzy." I sighed picking up my controller again.

"So lemme guess, you got drunk and you and this " friend" fucked?" He giggled and sat up.

I pressed the start up button and my Xbox and started up a random game I had in it. The Assassins Creed screen loaded up and sighed. "Like I said, I don't remember. Plus even wasted me wouldn't do that."

Shoyo slumped and pouted. "You're such a bad liar, but whatever. I came over here truly to get some notes because I'm failing Bio again."

I clicked my tongue and shot a look at my backpack in the corner of my room. "There's some in my bag, blue folder. I'll need them back by Thursday. And Sho, start paying attention."

There was a flash of orange across my TV as he bounce across to it and pulled out the blue folder. "I am paying attention, and thanks Kenma-kun! I'll see you tomorrow at school." He said skipping to my door and slipping out.

"Bye?" I said to no one as I moved my attention back to my TV where I was being stabbed by a British solder. Suddenly my screen went red and I died, "fuck." I muttered. Not only because I died,

But because I am a bad liar.
