Jack woke up and trotted to the kitchen. He was still sore from last night. He smiled thinking about where Mark had touched him, and placed his hands where Mark's were last night. Mark startled him.
"Hey whatcha doing?" Mark asked.
"Just gettin some damn breakfast! Don't ya ever scare me like that again, ya fucker."
Mark winked at him and Jack growled in anger. Mark just laughed and mumbled something about Jack being adorable. He walked off whistling to himself. Jack smiled and got some cereal and coffee and sat down on the couch.
Mark walked back in.
"Hey, wanna go on a walk today?" Mark asked Jack.
Jack nodded, as he had a bite of cereal in his mouth.
Mark smiled and went to take a shower.

Jack and Mark walked hand in hand up to a nearby park. Mark was grinning about something and Jack wanted to know why.
"Mark, why are ye grinning like that?"
He just shook his head and said, "You'll see."
Jack was so curious. Why wouldn't Mark tell him now?

Mark and Jack reached a bench and sat down. Lots of people were in that area. Mark looked at Jack and told him to stay seated as he stood up.
"So Jack, you love me right?"
Jack nodded.
"And you know I love you?"
Jack looked at him and said, "Well I hope so."
"You dork." Mark muttered. Then he said, "Well we've been through a lot together. A lot. And you mean so much to me. In fact... I wouldn't be here without you, and I couldn't imagine my life without you... So Jack..."
Mark blushed and Jack motioned for him to continue.
"Will you marry me?" Mark said as he kneeled down on one knee and pulled out a ring.
Jack gasped and nodded, tears in his eyes. He thought about all the things he and Mark did with/for each other and knew that this was just the beginning of an amazing life.
Jack looked at his new ring and saw an inscription.
"To the only one who makes my heart beat."
