I dream of a family
To come home to
To spend time with
To take places
To provide
And protect
I dream of the one who would be my wife
I dream of how she would be like
And if I have even met her yet
I dream that she would be the perfect one for me
As well as for a family
I dream of a child I long for
The beautiful son
Or daughter
In which I could
Nurture
Raise
Talk
Love
And protect
I dream of a child who I can watch
Their first steps
Hear them say their first word
Be there for their first game
Watch them graduate
Or even to walk them down the isle for her wedding
I dream of a family
I dream of a family that is prolonged with grandchildren
And great grandchildren
Tears flood my eyes
Because I fear my dream may never come true.
I dream of a family
I dream of a happy life
Don't you
If I had to choose between family
And my dream career
In which I would spend years in college
I would choose my family
Because that is what gives me greater joy
