As soon as I finished shoving anything and everything into my shiny blue suitcase, I turned around to see Albus Dumbledore standing in the doorway. I started, thinking, "You scared me!!"
"Terribly sorry, Amy. Now, hold on to my arm very tightly. I can get you to Hogwarts very soon, as it just so happens to be the first day of school tomorrow." Dumbles(I think I'm going to call him that) informed me.

"Ok. Will this hurt?"

"Not at all."
I grabbed his arm and was plunged into darkness. Everything was silent except for the ringing in my ears, and it felt as if I was being shoved into a very small space. In the matter of a few seconds, however, we arrived inside a grand, cozy, oval-shaped room with odd trinkets and sweets lying everywhere.

"Sorry, it can get pretty messy in here. I prefer to tidy by hand, though magic is much faster. Ah, I think I can make an exception..."

He closed his eyes and snapped his fingers. In an instant, the room was as tidy as ever with everything returned to its rightful place on the vast expanse of bookshelves and countertops lining the walls.
" I know it isn't ideal, but the Hospital Wing is the only place with a spare bed available and ready for you, so you'll have to sleep there tonight. I believe you will find Madam Pomfery quite nice, don't you agree, Minnie?"

An old woman with gray hair pulled into a tight bun atop her head stepped in.
"Hello Albus, and who might you be?" She questioned, looking over the tops of her spectacles at Amy.

"This is Amelie Juniper, who prefers to be called Amy. She is mute, but seems to be able to communicate with me through Occulmency. I don't understand it quite yet, but I'm sure it will come in due time." Dumbles finished, blue eyes twinkling as he smiled at me. I grinned, and followed 'Minnie's' gesture to come with her. She escorted me to the Hospital Wing, told me to talk to Madam Pomfery (third door on the left) in the morning, and be downstairs for breakfast by 9:30 AM.

I went to sleep, wondering what Occulmency was, how many students there would be, if I would make a friend or two, if there was a cure for this...'muteness' somewhere in the world of magic. I'll have to ask Madam Pomfery or Dumbles in the morning....
