ONE YEAR EARLIER
I was lurking slowly through the hallways like a prey hiding from its predator. In my world the predator is Chelsea Taylors. The Queen Bee of Clinton Middle School, basically the plastics of the real world. It wasn't only Chelsea Taylors, but actually two more, her two little wannabees. The first one is Chelsea's little bodyguard, Adriann Wallace. The second is Chelsea's "do it all", basically if Chelsea gets caught at anything she will take cover, if Chelsea wants the answers to a test she will get it, Brittany Koles will do anything to protect Chelsea. Nobody knows why, but rumors have it that Brittany's family was sued by Chelsea's family and Brittany had to live like a slave to pay for the money. But I don't believe the gossip until I see it myself.
I leaned across the wall acting like I was a spy, I looked from side to side being cautious of every step that I take. I tiptoed across the marble floors gently and calmly trying my best from not getting caught. Being sure that if I was caught, I would be dead meat. But suddenly the voice... the voice that I was most afraid of echoed through the halls. " Where is she? Where is that fat girl, Avery?! " Chelsea yelled
" I don't know... I'm sorry" Brittany said with a trembling voice. I inhaled deeply and slowly walked away, but right when I turned around I let out a loud shriek. It was Adrienn that grabbed my arm and led me to her.
"Found her! She was hiding in the corner." Adrienn said
" So there you were... Did you actually think that you could hide from me?" Chelsea said in a deep, low, angry voice " Hahahahahha! It's hysterical how you thought I wouldn't be able to find you. Anyone from a thousand miles away could have seen you."
" I... I'm sorry.." I said as I stumbled on my words
" Sorry? Sorry isn't good enough. You will have to do something for me. Something to repay humiliating me in front of the whole school. Oh! And you don't have the money to pay for my Michael Kors bag, do you? I mean your parents did change from living at a high quality mansion to a town house in Graysfield village. I mean why don't you just go and tell everyone your poor?" Chelsea said as she walked away with just a snap of her fingers. Right after she left, I found people hiding behind all the desks and curtains with eggs in their hands. Right then a tear rolled down my cheeks, knowing what was to happen. But all I did was stay still, not being able to even move a finger. I just silently cried, choking down all the pain. I was so scared so full of this that I didn't even feel the eggs hitting my body. Inside I was just screaming help me, but nobody listened, nobody heard. I just fell into a deep sleep walking away from all the pain and bullying.
I opened my eyes, blinking a few times trying to get my sight to be more clearer. All I could see were some desks, egg yolk and shells surrounding me. I sat up straight to look around to remember something that happened and why I was here. But suddenly a pain strikes my head. I slowly, carefully pull up my hand to touch the spot on my head. All I felt was a big bump underneath the thick coats of my hair. I gently touched it being cautious not to press too hard, not wanting the same pain that happened just a few seconds ago. But then slowly hear a loud, low, deep male voice coming from the front of the room. My heart drops, wondering where I am and why I am here. "Is this person a criminal that hit my head?" Thousands of questions appeared in my head that were not answered.
" Are you okay, Avery?" The same scary voice asks.
" Who are you? I yell just before I turn around to see my best friend Aaron Parkers standing right behind me with a bag of ice. I inhale a deep breath of relief as I take the bag from his hand and put it onto my forehead.
Aaron Parkers is a hotheaded, ego maniac, and an amazing football player, but why would he be hanging out with me? I don't know for sure myself, but he is always been a big brother to me, ever since I was 5 years old. Believe it or not, I used to be an average size girl when I was little, but after my grandma died when I turned 9, I was never the same. This is when Aaron came in, he helped me a lot and lets just say he was the medicine to my depression. But we are ONLY friends, nothing more, nothing less. But even if I liked him he will never like a girl like me back. Besides he already has a girlfriend. She is... Chelsea. I know surprising huh? But I never told Aaron what she does to me. I was scarred for life when once I told Aaron what she did to me. Lets just say it ended with me having an "accidentally" have my hair cut and my brand new clothes soaked in mud.
AFTER THE INCIDENT
"Are you sure your okay?" Aaron asked, "Why won't you tell me what happened?"
"I am fine.. and I told you I don't remember what happened." I lied because I clearly remember every detail of the " Incident "
"Okay Avy Baby." Aaron said as he dropped me off at my house. "I'll see you later Avigater"
"Thanks.. Aar- head" I said as I walked up the front door steps. I watched as Aaron drove away in his white BMW, making loud, rusty noises that echoed in my ears.
As I took out my keys in my front pocket, I inserted it in the key whole, jiggling it a little to help it open. As soon as I walked in I saw my parents, my siblings, and even my dog starring at my egg yolk covered body. Ugh now I just entered as a contestant to play twenty questions... great.
