Chapter 23 - I'm here for you

Chapter 23

*Shane's POV*

I heard how Joey tried to get closer to me.

I felt something on my lap followed by the touch of Joey's hand on my neck. Suddenly I felt the warmth of his lips, pressing against mine. I opened my eyes for 1 second and saw how Joey sat on my lap, with one hand on my neck, the other one on my cheek. As I felt that I had to close my eyes again his hand crawled up my neck and made me shiver. I let a little moan escape my mouth, Joey used this opportunity to get his tongue in my mouth and without thinking I let him in.

The need to breath became too strong and he pulled away.

"How did you like that, Shane?" He said in his uncomfortably sexual voice.

"I think..." I mumbled.

He just turned me gay for the full 100%. But can I tell him that?

Yes I can. He gave his all in that kiss, I could tell by.. By..

By everything!

"Tell me what you think boy." Joey said as he moved his hand down again, back to my neck.

I looked down and noticed the bulge in my pants.. I also noticed the bulge in Joey's jeans that was even bigger than mine.

I can tell him. He likes me.

"I think you just.. Turned me.."

"I turned you what?"

"Gay."

*Joey's POV*

The word is out. I got him to tell me. Now I can tell him I like him. I really like him. And then it's to Shane.. He can choose for a safe future with Lisa or for a future with me.. A future we'll need to fight for. Together.

"Well.. Shane.." I said in a pretty fragile way.

"I have to tell you something..

I want you to know I've been really unconfident about this lately, and I've spent a lot of time thinking about it, but I think.. I'm almost sure.." I said trying to look directly into Shane's eyes.

I noticed he was actually listening to my stuttering and tumbling over my words.

"I'm gay and I like you, Shane."

Before I knew I found myself crying. Crying on Shane's lap, in his car.

"I like you too Joey. Very much." He said as he wrapped his left arm around my shoulders and tried to wipe the tears that were dripping from my eyes away.

Then suddenly he began to song something.. I recognized a familiar sound in it. I couldn't remember the name but through the tears I thought it was by Maroon 5.

"Please don't lose your faith,

Don't worry 'cause I'm here to keep you safe,

I promise if you let me see your face,

That I won't let you down,

I won't let you down." He sang with his deep warm voice as he hugged me.

"I know exactly where to go now." Shane said as he moved his hand across my back.

"Where are you taking me?" I managed to say with a really shaky voice.

"To the queen of YouTube, Joey."

We were heading to Mr. Oakley himself.
