Chapter 6

Nicki POV

I watch as Ciara stares into my eyes and hers start to form this gleam that I can't look away from. Honestly I don't care about getting in her pants anymore, that's the last thing I'm worried about. I know sooner or later we're gonna have to tell her the truth. The harsh truth that we're vampires, I know the different scenarios she's gonna think but if it takes a whole lifetime I'll prove to her the opposite of whatever negative thought comes up. As much as I don't wanna think about it, as soon as we tell her she'll be a high risk for danger. If that happens I'll do whatever it takes to keep her and her family safe. I don't know if what I'm feeling is love or not but I just wanna protect her from everything. I find myself adoring her more and more each day while learning and appreciating a different part of her. I never want her out of my life and I can admit that I most likely have some type of feelings for her. I'm broken out of my thoughts by her unwrapping her arms from around my neck. I look over her face and she looks conflicted about something.

"What's wrong?" I ask

"Um just a lil clouded, I'm going to the bathroom" She says

"You sure you can go on your own?" I ask

"Yea I'll be fine" She says

"Aight" I say

I watch her leave and Robyn walks up to me.

"Y'all were cozy" She smirks

"Yea" I mumble

"What's wrong?" She asks

I tell her everything that I was just thinking and she smirks at me.

"What?" I ask

"Oh baby you're in love" She smiles

"Me? In love? Robyn stop smoking them joints so much, it's fuckin with ya brain cells" I say

"Says the one who gladly joins me every time" She fires back

Ok she got me there.

"Look just really think about it" She says

I take a deep breath and close my eyes. Fuck she's right, I'm in love with Ciara. The last 2 months have went by quick but a good kind since it's been occupied with Ciara.

"Ok so what if I do, none of it is gonna matter once we tell her the truth" I say

"Why won't it matter Onika?" She asks

"Robyn you know they're gonna come and when they see that she knows, her and her parents will be in danger, not to mention the fact she's probably gonna think we're out to eat her" I whisper

By 'they' I mean the vampire counsel, very intimidating people who don't approve of mortals knowing about vampires.

"True" She sighs

"But you know we have witch connects, call up one of them and get some potion that'll show her everything that's real you know shit like that" She says

"True" I say

"Relax, what you need to focus on is how to make her see past your reputation" She snickers

"Oh fuck off Robyn" I say

"Mhmm don't fuck up Onika" She says

"I won't" I say

Ciara comes back and we continue dancing, we stay at the club for a few more hours before leaving. We head back to Robyn's house and the only thing running through my mind is When,Where, How Ima tell her.
