Family Reunions

Several moments of silence swept through the common room, everyone far too busy staring at the now empty doorway that just moments ago fitted the two sayians and Nato. Hoshi and I exchanged a shocked look, brown eyes wide with both shock and excitement. They were here. They had come to bring us back to earth. It had been several months since we had landed ourselves in this troubling position. After such an extended amount of time I had attempted to face the fact that maybe we were stuck here forever; that Bulma couldn't build a new time machine. The idea itself had terrified me, but it had to be considered. Now all such thoughts gladly dispersed and I had to fight the urge to run after my father and Vegeta.

"What was all that about?" Kasei inquired, finally tearing his gaze from the door to Hoshi and I, confusion etched onto his face.

Hoshi sighed and shifted in the chair, sitting up straight. She paused for a moment, obviously deciding how to word their little confrontation. Stating that the two sayians were their fathers that had come back from the future to rescue us because we had also accidentally went back in time probably wouldn't blow over as well as we would have liked. Instead it seemed as though skating around the truth was the best course of action, as it had been ever since we had first arrived on Planet Vegeta. Now not even I was certain what was real and what was not.

"It was nothing." Hoshi muttered, fiddling with her fingers, "They are just our past mentors on planet Vegeta. Not that it really matters."
Kasei gave her an unconvienced look as a blue finger shot up and fumbled with the side of his scouter. His eyes widened slightly as an image appeared on his screen and he let out a low whistle. "My, even so their power levels are outstanding, even higher than you two by at least a thousand. No wonder Lord Frieza is starting to find Sayians to be a threat. They are just getting stronger."

I nodded slightly, well aware as to what happened to the things that intimidated Frieza. It was because of the lizard's petty fear that he wiped out an entire planet and nearly all of it's inhabitants. Unfortunately the threat was not diminished by his actions, if anything he caused his own demise.

"Well, there are plenty of races that are stronger..." I pointed out, knowing it to be the truth. While the Sayians were very keen on fighting and proving their worth they surely could not have been the strongest race out there. Some of Frieza's men were much stronger, including Didoria, Zarbon and the Ginyu Force. Whether Jeice knew it or not he would too become light years stronger.

""Perhaps, although they are the ones that Freiza is concerned with at the moment." Kasei shrugged, clicking his scouter off before looking back at us. "Don't you wish to catch up with them?"

"Not right now." I quickly lied. For now it was best for us not to allow Nato to know that my father and Vegeta were close to Hoshi and I. There was no telling what he would do with that information and quite frankly I was in no mood to find out. "Maybe later...."
Kasei was about to comment on the subject when a loud, slightly annoyed voice rang through the halls, causing us all to look at the doorway to find Tremo standing there. His large purple hand was placed on the door frame as he stared out at the hallway, Kalo standing beside him, his gaze locked on us.

"What was Nato doing on the high ranking floor?" Tremo questioned, turning to look at us as he entered the room, his eyes narrowed and accusing. "You better not have attempted to start another fight with him. We are on thin ice with Frieza as it is."

"No, he came up here on his own accord and pestered us." Jeice informed, sitting back down on the couch.

Kasei nodded. " He had two fellow Sayian's in tow with him, claiming that they somehow knew Hoshi and Goshe. I assure you that we did not initiate anything. We sent them away as swiftly as they came."

Tremo glanced from Hoshi to myself, his accusing look disappearing only to be replaced by curiosity.

"Do you know them?"

I nodded. "Yes, we knew them on Planet Vegeta."

Tremo crossed his arms and tilted his head to the side slightly, seemingly deep in thought.

"I see... It's obvious that Nato is out to  get revenge on us for getting him demoted, especially the two of you. Due to that you two are to stay away from both Nato and your fellow Sayians, is that understood? One more fight and Frieza will have our heads for sure. We must thread carefully, especially since we are a higher rank. We do not want to lose this or our lives."

Hoshi snickered softly. the order going through one ear and out the other. We had to speak to our fathers, even if it displeased the team.... We would have to be discreet and secretive. It certainly was not my preferred method of handling the situation, but we had very little choice. It seemed as though for once I was about to break my own moral to never bluntly disobey a friend's request and lie to them. Of course lying always has it's consequences, that was a fact that whether or not I knew it at the moment I would find out in the future. The said consequences would be far from pretty.

"Fine." I agreed, crossing my fingers behind my back like a child fibbing to her parents, "I promise that we will not have any further contact with any other individuals that share our race...."  For once I found myself thankful that our race was a hybrid, not completely Sayian and not completely human.
