The best way to request a review from me is to personal message me. Be sure to include the title of the book you want critiqued in the message.
You may also
* comment on any chapter in this book
* leave a comment on my profile feedHowever I'm not guaranteed to see requests this way, and will still ask you for an official request in my inbox so you might as well just do that in the first place.
My critiques are free and do not require any sort of payment. However, I appreciate any votes/comments or shoutouts if you feel so inclined!
My reviews will be done first come first serve.
There are no specific guidelines. I will review any genre as long as you have one chapter posted.
Here's what I will be looking at when reading your books:
Keep in mind that I may not touch upon every subject, and I may even add a few more categories when necessary.* Grammar, punctuation, and spelling: Also, dialogue tags, sentence structure/variation, incomplete sentences, etc etc. In other words, how technically correct your writing is.
* Dialogue: How well you utilize dialogue to add to the plot. This may include things like any unnecessary or forced lines.
* Word Choice: How descriptive you are (and yes, it is possible to be too descriptive!) as well as any possible awkward/misplaced words.
* Plot: I like to keep my thoughts on plot to a minimum, as I am aware that my personal fav genre/tropes might not be someone else's and vice versa. This category is mostly to point out cliches.
* Author's voice: This pertains to the tone of the story. I like to take note if mood changes are too abrupt, and whether or not your writing style is consistent.
* Characters: This has to do with how well I can get a feeling for your character's personality, as well as how cliche your character may be or how likable they are.
That's definitely not everything, but these are some of the biggest categories. Happy writing!
You should know that I am going to add any book that I review to a public list of mine.
Thanks!
