Riley and Ashtyn have been 18 since 1642. That is when they became vampires, and stopped aging. This was all caused by an original named Klaus. They have tried to fit in just about everywhere, but they might have found a place where they can be themselves.
Riley is the opposite of Ashtyn. She wanted to grow old and have a family and to fall in love and to die at an old age, but that was stolen from her when Ashtyn decided she wanted to live forever and didn't want to be alone. This all started when a boy broke Ashtyn's heart after her 17 birthday. So she chose this fate for her twin and herself. They may look the same but they are complete opposites. Riley swore to her sister on the night they were turned that she would make her pay for that decision for the rest of eternity and that she would always be there to make her miserable. Ashtyn swore off love on that night when she was broken. She vowed to herself that she would never let herself know that feeling again. The only reason they still travel the world together is because of their promises; you will never find Riley to far behind Ashtyn.
