DEAR DIARY, ONCE AGAIN I WILL HAVE TO GREET THE

NEW KID!    ! HOW IS THIS A FAIR PUNISHMENT? CANT I GET

DETENTION LIKE A NORMAL PERSON? NO OF COURSE

NOT.THIS IS WHAT I GET FOR TRYING TO MAINTAIN MY SOCIAL STATUS!!!! WELL IT ISN'T FAIR,ALL I DID WAS DRINK ONE TEENY-TINY SIP OF ALCOHOL. OKAY,I KNOW IT WAS NOT THE SMARTEST THING TO DO. ESPECIALLY SINCE I WAS ON SCHOOL GROUNDS,BUT I WASN'T EVEN THE ONE WHO BROUGHT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!MY MOM IS CALLING ME FOR BREAKFAST, BETTER GO BEFORE SHE FLIPS OUT.

"Finally, I thought you were dead",Mrs.Summers exclaimed.

"Yes, mom i died in my sleep",I said trying to make her mad

as usual. "Not funny",a strange but familiar voice said from

behind. "Daddy! When did you get home?",I asked exitedly.

"Just a few minutes ago sweetie", he answered quickly.

"Well, you have really bad timing Im about to leave for

school",I said sadly. "Already? It's only 6:55 A.M!"

"I know but I have to go greet the new kid!" "Oh, yes I forgot about you being head of the welcoming committee", he said proudly. Yes dad it is a great position that nobody wants to be in, I  thought.

"Well aren't you well-dressed for this time of day",my very annoying  year older brother said. Very sarcastically if I may add. I quickly analyzed myself.I was wearing a red tank blue short,short shorts and red open-toed wedges."It's supposed to reach up to,95 today",I said defending myself. "I have to go bye daddy I love you"! I called over my shoulder."Love you to,he called to me."Well this should be fun,I thought.When I arrived at school I was pretty surprised too see my best friend Aaron waiting by her car. "Aaron why are you already here"? I asked annoyed.

"I heard about the new guy and wanted to get first dibs

if you didn't want him", she said happily and of course

dorkily. "I love you Aaron,you are truly the funniest person I have ever met",I exclaimed. "Thanks,I love you too!""Now, you have a new boy to meet and so do I",Aaron said excitedly."Hold your horses the new kid could be completely creepy or disgusting or"...."Completely,hot with a really nice convertible!",she said like she had just seen him. "Well,yeah but not the point",I said trying to finish my speech."No he really is hot and has a nice convertible"she said. "Oh, well then I might have dibs than", I exclaimed."Excuse me,are you by any chance Ms.Rikki Sommers"?"Um,yes that's me", I said for some reason nervously."Hello, I am Jacob Lust,"the seemingly perfect boy said.It took me a minute to respond.It wasn't until Aaron nudged me that I realized he was holding his hand out. "Oh,I'm sorry for lashing out I do that a lot", I said very apologetically.God,could I make it more obvious

that I was flirting with him,I thought."It's OK"he said trying to make me feel better."Thanks,I guess I'm a little tired",I said still flirting with him.Then the most I mean most adorable smile lit up his face.

"No problem",he said.I smiled back at him.

"Hey I'm gonna go see if i can do any extra-credit for Trig",Aaron said.Until now I'd forgotten about her even

existing."OK see you soon",I said completely ignoring her."Oh,I'm sorry if I interrupted something",Jacob said like he was worried."Not any thing important just me calling dibs on you", I said sarcastically even though it was fairly true.
