((Haven't really thought this one through a whole hell of a lot, so I'm open to ideas :D))
Prologue
Even though she was careful about her appearance, her true identity revealed itself in public. This was an unspoken law that she had to obedient to. After the incident, her father, who lived across the country, became infrared with her; and he made sure that she knew of his great disappointment. Although, official, Professor Burt wasn't "legally" her father, because he "never existed" and was definitely not working as a secret embassy for paranormal and mythical research. As far as the public eye was concerned, her real adopted parents were Barbara and Steven Weir.
They lived in California with Kazimiera where the faithful incident occurred. Kaz, her most used nickname, was born after her parent's untimely death, where Professor Burt found her and used his high government power to gain all necessary control her. However, his nonexistent job prevented him from actually spending time with her, so the government allowed another couple to "adopt" her.
She was raised as a human, only her "foster parents" knowing of her true being, and hiding it from the already adopted son, Cody. Kaz was forced to hide all her abilities in the human world, but she grew accustomed to the way they acted and soon fit right in.
She gained many friends, all of which had no idea of the powers she hid. However, her human friends were the cause of her revealing her abilities. She stood up for them, against a group of under-developed lunatics. She protect them, and they ran from her. Scare out of their minds. Even the large, muscular, small minded teenagers ran from her. Suddenly, she was banned from her human high school, was punished terribly by her "parents," and was locked in her room until Professor Burt was called. He immediately demanded her to be sent to the mythical sanctuary; in Maine.
Kaz hated the idea that she had to leave; she might not have liked her "parents" but it was the only home she knew off for nearly 19 years. She couldn't deal with socializing with her own kind, because she knew everything about humans. She knew all the organs in the human body, the majority of the bones, how neural transmitters worked in the brain; she even attended a few college psychology classes online, and learned how and potently why humans act and think the way they do.
Being thrown into a completely new species of life, was just going to be awkward.
On the flight out to her new home, Kaz watched the clouds float by; constantly wondering why she never thought about using her powers to touch a cloud. She wanted to be free, but she knew that she would be harshly ridiculed. She would be deemed a monster, and would probably be hunted down like an animal. This was a life change all right, but that didn't entitle that she had to like it.
Once she reached the Maine airport, she was instantly greeted by someone other than her father; however, he said he was an acquaintance of his. "Come with me, Kazimiera," he grabbed her by her arm, and yanked her along the wall of the airport; attempting to not attract attention to them.
Kaz was struggling to run along side him, with his long, skinny legs (he was trying to hide them with a thick black suit). They reached a black car with tinted windows, and no license plates. Kaz knew that was illegal and was hoping that the police would pull them over, and she could just go back home; they never did.
The driver, and the skinny legged man, didn't speak. They sat very stiffly in the front seat, while Kaz relaxed, almost like a bum, in the back. She glared out the window, trying to study the route back to the airport; she kept getting distracted by new sightings, such as a hotel that wasn't 20 stories high, gas prices cheaper than four dollars, and watching neighbors actually communicating to one another; this was definitely a paranormal sanctuary.
