Summer.

Chapter 2

"GOODMORNING" yelled Devin jumping on the bed Lannie and I were asleep on.

Still tired, I opened one eye to see that Lannie wasnt there and Devin still jumping up and down in his pajamas. i was still too tired to get up so i decided to just turn around. Just then, i feel hands on my waist and suddenly im on the floor with Devin tickling me.

Anyone who knows me knows i hate being tickled.

So as Im being tickled, im trying to reach for the top of the bed as support to get up but each time i reach the top, im dragged back down.

THANK GOD THEY HAVE CARPET or I WOULDVE HAD A CONCUSSION BY NOW.

"Stop stop please!" i said so out of breath

Devin didnt even let go one bit

I was getting so exhausted from laughing I felt like i was gonna faint. i needed to think of an excuse and fast.

"NO! NO MORE, IM GONNA PEE MYSELF!" i say dying in laughter. just then Devin throws me off and runs for the door yelling "grosssss! run away!"

After, what seemed like forever. had passed, i was free from tickling and about to shower to get ready. As i was about to hop in the shower i realized i didnt have clothes for the day. i guess it was time to head home. sadly.

*3 hours later*

ive gotten dressed in a blue floral sweetheart lined summer dress for the museum and a picnic at the park. ive pur my make up on, ive curled the bottom of my brown long hair. and got my tan gladiator sandals ready to go. i thought i was the perfect outfit to make Devin fall instantly in love with me.

as i waited for Lannie and them to come pick me up, i decided to skim through my phone. but before i could een start skimming, i recieved a text from Liam.

Liam: Hey, how are you? You didnt answer any of my texts from last night.

i totally forgot about Liam once Devin arrived. Liam is an okay guy but he has his moments.

Me: hey liam. Sorry my friend arrived from Chicago and we had some catching up to do.

Liam: Oh. Wow! Chicago? i actually wanted to go to Chicago once we geaduated but im not sure. I was thinking of us going together. anyways, whos this friend of yours?

Me: Oh, id love to go to Chicago but im not sure about RIGHT after we graduate. Oh, and the guy is just a family friend.

Liam: Its a guy?

Me: yeah. His name is Devin. I think you would like him.

Liam: i need to go.

*Honk*

Lannie and them finally came to pick me up. As i got in the car, i couldnt help but think why Liam was so upset. Him and i have been talking for awhile but he hasnt shown all that MUCH interest into getting into a relationship with me.

"Are you okay Kaila?" asked Devin with a concerned look.

"Yeah, just thinking"

"Today is a worry free day. So smile!"

I couldnt help but blush about how sweet Devin was. As the day went on i occasionally thought about what Liam had said. But the rest of the time Devin was making me blush with his sweetness.

He pretended to be statues in the museum and then after the picnic in the park him, Lannie, and i were racing to see who can go higher on the swings.

Overall, the day was an amazing day.
