This is based off from when Laxus is about to be kicked out from the guild. I don't remember much from this episode and sorry if he's a bit OOC. Slight spoilers as well?? Idk it doesn't follow it completely. Hope you enjoy it anyway~

~3rd person p.o.v.~

Everyone in Fairy Tail visibly tensed as Laxus Dreyar stepped in. Said male calmly strode up to his grandfather, Makarov, who had his eyes closed in thought. After words were exchanged, Makarov had kicked his grandson out from the guild with a heavy heart.

A certain small wizard watched from the sidelines as the person he held certain feelings for left. It was none other than (Y/n) (L/n).

Yeah, before the whole incident, Laxus would somewhat talk down on (Y/n) because of his height, but the short male knew he didn't really mean it. They were friends before Makarov banned his own son, Laxus' father, from Fairy Tail.

(Y/n) didn't exactly know why he was attracted to the S-class mage, but he just couldn't help it. Maybe it was the way Laxus' lightning shaped scar ran over his eye, but then again, it could've been how Laxus always believed he was the strongest. Confidence was key.

After Laxus left the guild, (Y/n)'s legs took a life of their own and pursued him. They didn't stop until they reached the recent ex-Fairytail member.

"Hey... haa... Laxus!" (Y/n) huffed.

"(Y/n)..."

"I don't understand... Why? Why did you do all that?" The (h/c) haired wizard questioned, his eyes not meeting the S-class mage. Laxus took a deep breath before reaching out to hug his childhood friend. (Y/n) moved back slightly, hinting that he didn't want to be hugged at the moment.

"I was so scared Laxus. I didn't know how things were going to play out..." (Y/n) said, barely above a whisper.

Laxus dropped the smile he had when he left the guild respectfully. A heavy pang was felt in his chest.

"I... I'm sorry, (Y/n). I really am, but shouldn't you get ready for the Fantasia Parade? I don't want you to miss out on it."

The tension in the air suddenly grew heavy as neither of them spoke.

"I don't care about that Laxus. I..." (Y/n) stopped himself before he went further. He kicked a nearby pole and yelled in frustration.

"I'm so stupid! I'm such an idiot!" The smaller male continued to yell at himself as he tugged at his own hair.

Laxus was starting to become very concerned. He had never seen (Y/n) in such a state, his heart squeezing slightly at the sight. Despite what his friend wanted, Laxus hugged him tightly.

"Please don't act like this..." he whispered into (Y/n)'s ear. The small wizard calmed down a bit after that, enjoying the warmth the other gave him.

"I really am an idiot." (Y/n) mumbled, although it didn't go unheard by his longtime friend.

"Why do you keep saying that (Y/n)? You're the smartest person I know." Laxus separated them both to get a better look at (Y/n).

"Just leave like you were going to." (Y/n) said, turning around to walk towards the guild. The (h/c) haired male stopped in his tracks when the S-class mage called out to him.

"(Y/n), wait-"

"Just, please, leave for now. I don't hate you. I'm sorry for acting like that. I'm just an idiot for loving you."
