Sawyer's POV:

I walked back to my apartment, still thinking about Brooklynn. The way she looked at me the way she held my hand, everything. At that moment, my phone began to ring. I looked down. It was my mom again.

" Hey, momma, what's up?" I said holding the phone up to my ear, while pulling out the key to my apartment.

"Hey, honey, I'm good thanks for asking," she replied, sarcastically," I should be asking you the same thing. I just as Joey's new video with you in it. So, when exactly are you going to find Mrs. Hartman?"

I glanced towards Brooklynn's apartment door and smiled."I think I already did." I replied, walking into my apartment and closing the door behind me.

"Oh really? And who might she be ?" she asked.

"I met her today. Her name is Brooklynn and she's absolutely amazing." I began telling her about how we met, when I heard Joey yell.

"AAAHHHH,COME HERE PIGGY-ANYA!!! IM GONNA CHOP YOU UP AND TURN YOU INTO MY BREAKFAST!!!" That response could only mean one thing: he was playing Minecraft.

"Sawyer, are you still there?" I heard my mom ask on the phone.

"Yeah I'm here. Sorry, Joey is playing Minecraft and got a little loud. What did you say?"

" I said, I'll be heading down there with grandma in a few days." she said again. I love when I get to spend time with my mom.

"Awesome, I can't wait!! I'll see you when you get here!! I love you." I said into the phone.

"I love you too. See you in a few days. Don't forget, I wanna meet this girl." she said hanging up. I began to think about Brooklynn again as I headed to my bedroom. I opened the door and Hitch ran out. I completely forgot I put him in here. I decided to take a quick shower and head back downstairs to eat. After my shower, I walked down stairs. Suddenly, I heard her voice. I thought it was in my head, but I realized it was coming from our office. I slowly walked towards the opening, not wanting her to see me before I saw her. I peeked around the corner. The only person in the office was Joey, and he was texting. I looked at his screen and there she was. Talking to him on the computer, laughing and waving around a piece of paper. I walked in and pulled up my chair to Joey's computer.

"Are you video chatting with Brooklynn?" I asked, staring at her on the screen, still laughing, this time joined in with someone else.

"Uh, no, its her YouTube video. She uploaded it a few days ago and asked me to watch it. I'm texting her now." he said, glancing up at the screen. "Oh, by the way, I wrote down her number." he handed me a sticky note. I quickly entered the number and texted her.She replied in a matter of seconds.

"Mind putting a name to a number?" it said.

"Its Sawyer, from earlier." I texted back.

"I know who you are,Sawyer. The only one I know with that name." she replied back.

"Should that make me feel bad?" I texted back jokingly.

"No no," she replied back rather quickly." You should feel special."

"I do." I sent back. Immediately, I felt the need to delete that last one. I began to panic a little when she texted me back.

"I'm a little busy unpacking right now, but would you like to go out to dinner later?" she asked. My heart skipped a beat. She was moving fast, but I didn't have a problem with it. I was just about to reply when she texted me back.

"Sorry, that was for Joey." it read. I had a sinking feeling in my stomach. I knew she probably liked Joey better than me. I was about to toss my phone on the desk when she texted again.

"Do you wanna have breakfast in the morning. I need someone who knows how to get around here."

"Was that for me?" I texted back. Maybe it was a little mean, but hopefully she got the message about how much the last one hurt.

"I hope so, Mr. Hartman. Unless, you have something or someone else to see in the morning."

"Nope" I replied back," I'm all free."

"Good, well, its a date then!" A date? Already? Maybe that was for Joey. Or not.

"Don't forget to dress down. Nothing special. I was thinking maybe Ihop?" she texted. I knew I liked this girl.

"Sure. I love ihop. I'll see you there!!" I texted her.

"Great! Can't wait. See you in the morning! Good night!!"Just looking at that last one made me the happiest I've been this year. I smiled to myself.

"So, you and Brooklynn are going to dinner tonight?" I asked Joey.

"No, we changed it to lunch tomorrow. Hey, do you think I should ask her for the number of her friend. You, know, the one who screamed earlier?" he asked, looking more serious than I had ever seen him.

" I don't know. She seemed a little weird to me, but do whatever floats your boat." I said getting up and patting his shoulder. I said good night and headed back up stairs forgetting to eat dinner. I just wanted to think about her all night. So, that's what I did till I feel asleep, dreaming about her.
