Gazing up at the ceiling, I lay there in my bed daydreaming and reminiscing all of the good times. I couldn't get a wink of sleep, I messaged Brody numerous times but didn't get one reply. I'm telling myself 'maybe hes just angry' but my true thoughts were unimaginable and heartbreaking. As soon as Hunter left me I messaged him and asked if he would keep me updated if he heard from Brody, but nothing.

Realizing I am in desperate need of a shower I pick myself up and walk towards the bathroom. Staring at myself in the mirror, I realize the bruise on my neck has darkened again. My phone beeped and I belted it faster than Usain Bolt to my phone, only to find a message of hunter that read:

Hey Bon, I was just wondering if you heard from Brody? It turns out he didn't go home and I told his mother he came to yours to put her at ease. Let me know asap.

My heart dropped knowing that Brody did not show up home and it made me worry even more due to him not responding to anyone's calls or texts. Suddenly it was hard to breath, it felt like I had two hands around my neck taking away all the oxygen inside.

Clean and clothed, I decided to head next door and talk to his mom. As I walked up to the door I slightly hesitated, his moms car was there but so was his dads, but I stuck with my heart and loudly knocked the door.

As my hand fell to my side the door opened and there stood the girl that I saw with Brody's father.

She looked me up and down, "Uh can I help you?"

A shot of anger filled my insides and I pushed her out of the way and made my way into the house, straight into the kitchen where Brody's father sat eating breakfast like nothing has happened.

"Are you actually serious?' I ruined the silence and scared him half to death, he stood in shock. "Your son has not come home, has not contacted anyone, and has been out all night in the cold and you are sitting in your house with your mistress at hand eating a croissant?"

He was speechless, I walked over and poked him in the chest.

"You are a heartless man, a cheat" I took a step further, "You are no father to Brody, laying your grimy hands on me because I caught you doing something wrong! Making me feel like it was my fault" , I wiped a tear off my cheek.

"If anything , and I mean anything has happened to Brody, it will all be your fault! You should be ashamed of yourself, I hope you disappear from Brody's life because his life would be so much better without a father rather than with a father like you!"

And with that I stormed out of that house, and just kept running.

------------

What on earth was I thinking, that didn't help the situation in any way.  By this time I was far away from my house, in a random wood that I remember visiting with my dad when I was young.

Wherever Brody was I pray to god he was safe. I felt physical pain not knowing where he was, but if he knew I was out here on my own he would pick my little bod up and take me right home. Me sitting in this freezing cold is not helping anyone, even though it's great to clear my mind, if Brody was home I would not know.

I came to the start of my street and heard police sirens and saw flashing lights, to my surprise they were right outside Brody's house. I froze, this could be good news or bad.

I just don't think I was prepared for bad.
