**LATER THAT EVENING**
"Come on Di! One song. JUST ONE SONG!" Louis was literally on his knees in front of me. Louis had a karaoke machine and everyone had sung already. Louis knew I could sing. And Louis was BEGGING me to sing. But I hadn't sung in over two years. And in front of more than two people... I couldn't. I was too shy.
"No Louis."
"Why nooot?" he wined.
"Because"
"Because is not an answer. Why won't you sing?"
"Because I don't want to."
"But... YOU LOVE THIS SONG!" He said putting on a song. I glared at him as the words started. It took a while before I started to sing.
"To loose all my senses that is just so typically me. ooh baby. Opps! I did it again. I played with your heart. Got lost in the game. Oops! You think I'm in love. That I'm sent from above. I'm not that innocent. You see my problem is this I'm dreaming away. Wishing that heroes, they truly exist. I cry, watching the days. Can't you see I'm a fool, in so many ways. But to loose all my senses, that is just so typically me. oh baby, oh. Oops! I did it again I played with your heart, got lost in the game. Oh baby baby. Oops you think I'm in love, that I'm sent from above, I'm not that innocent." I finished. Liam, Harry, Niall, and Zayn stared at me while Louis smirked. It took a second before everyone was clapping and hooting and fake fan- girling. I started to laugh as I slapped Louis upside the head.
"You love me Di. Don't pretend like you don't. " More than you know
Louis..." Pop and crisps anyone?" Louis asked, getting up. A chorus of yes rang out.
"We should do a group performance you guys!" Nicole said.
"Oh my GOD YES!" I said as we looked through the Karaoke machine to find a good song. We settled on I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys.
"You are..." I started
"My fire..." Nicole continued.
"The one..." Harry joined in
"Desire..." Niall stood up
"Believe..." Liam was now singing with us
"When I say...." Zayn pointed at Louis as he finished his line.
"I want it that way..."
"But we are two worlds a part..." I continued with the first verse
"Can't reach to your heart..." Nicole picked up the next line
"When you say..." Liam continued
"That I want it that way..." Harry finished the firs verse as Nicole yelled,
"TELL ME WHY"
"AIN'T NOTHING BUT A HEARTACHE" The boys and I sang
"TELL ME WHY"
"AIN'T NOTHING BUT A MISTAKE"
"I NEVER WANNA HEAR YOU SAY"
"I WANT IT THAT WAY"
The rest of the song went the same way, all of us randomly singing one line back and forth, with Nicole leading us on the chorus. By the time the song was over I was exhausted.
"This has literally been the best birthday I've ever had in my entire life." I said as I sat down on the floor and took another sip of my drink.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it!" Nicole said from across the room. "You never really have a good birthday."
