The Past, the Present and Her Secret (Last Part)

SPAIN (1:30 pm)

ANTON'S POV

As I stand outside Dr. Suarez's clinic while the fire fighters and some police investigate how the fire started. I can hear his trustee employees and even colleagues crying while waiting for news about him. We still don't know if he's inside or he got out and went somewhere else.

I fish out the phone in my pocket and re-read the text he sent me last night.

In case something happen to me; you know where to find the documents and do everything you can to find Jade and Karl.

Does someone want him dead? Is this incident related to Thirlwall and Edward's family? I have a lot of questions inside my mind but there are no appropriate answers for now. As I saw the policemen went out of the burned clinic, I walk towards them and introduce myself.

"I'm Anton Sanchez, I worked for Dr. Suarez." I introduce myself to them "We know, we found this note and picture of you inside and we're lucky that it didn't caught fire." One of them answered.

"Note? What does the note says?" I asked "Well, to give you permission to access his clinic and take all the necessary documents you need for his patients. As if that he knows something like this will happen and this is not an accidental fire"

"Do you know any person that's mad at him or?" the other man asked me "No, to be honest, he's loved by his colleague and employees. He has no known enemies" I answered.

The two policemen looks at each other and sigh "Very well then, in case you remembered something, here's our card and give us a call" I accepted the card and nod my head at them. I excuse myself from the two officers and went inside.

I don't know what will I feel when I made my first step on his office. He's been like my father for years and he took care of me. I wanted to cry but I know this is not the right time. Jade and Karl needs to know the truth and I'll do everything for them to know it.

I look at the painting on the wall and it was half-burnt. I take it off the wall and found the safe behind it. I took my phone again as I punch in the code I saved on my notes. After I enter the last digit, the safe opens and I look inside. There are 3 folders and I took all of them.

I place them inside my backpack, I also took the letter from him that he wants me to give to Jade. I close the safe and went out of his office as quick as possible. Now that I got everything I need, all I need is to book me a flight to United Kingdom.

I dial Martin's number on my cell phone, it rings 4 times before he picks up "Did you get what you need?" he asked me "Yes Martin, I'm on my way to the airport right now." I answered.

"Okay Anton but you need to be careful. Whoever wants Carlos dead can still be there and watching your every move." I look around for a while and saw a man looking at me. He's wearing shades and smoking a tobacco.
