Mark's POV

He was marrying someone else. Today. I'm his best man. He asked me before he even asked her to marry him. Do I love Jack? Of course I do. What kind of cliche would this even be without that factor? Should I run to him now and tell him how I feel? Of course I should, but I haven't and I won't. Why? Because he loves her. Of course he has to. Because with my luck... He's downright in love with her... Not me. Oh well. Hide it with a smile amiright?
*ring*
"Its Mark, whatcha need?"
"Uh hey Mark it's Jack, and uh can you come a little early? Something happened and I need you three hours earlier."
"Mkay, everything okay Jack?"
"Uh yeah..... I'll see you later."
*click*
"Well I guess he's alright." I muttered to myself. What a cliche, amiright? I decided to see what was good on Netflix, considering I was gonna be here for another two hours.
*thirty seconds later*
"And I would've stolen you a whole orchestra....." Yup. I'm watching the most sappiest episode of How I Met Your Mother. A wonderful thing to watch right? Thinking about the person I'm in love with, an Irish man, and watching sad episodes of How I Met Your Mother. I turned the show off and realized I only wasted forty minutes. An hour and twenty minutes left. I guess I should go get ready, I start to get ready when my phone started ringing loudly
"It's Mark, I'm trying to get ready for a wedding so it would be helpful if you could not!"
"MARK! ITS WADE AND I NEED TO TELL YOU SOMETHING!!!!! PLEASE LISTEN CAREFUL-"
"WADE DONT YOU FUCKING DARE!" I heard Bob yell through the phone.
"MARK QUICK LISTEN TO-"
*thud*
*click*
"That was weird....." I said out loud and set my phone down. I might as well start to get ready.
An hour later I was tying up my tie and getting ready to get out the door before I relealized I had left Jack's wedding present in my room. I went and retreived it to walk down the stairs, outside, and into my car. I soon arrived to the building where Jack was holding his wedding and pulled out my phone.
"Hey I'm here, where are you?" I typed.
A few seconds later:
"Just please come inside" Jack answered.
"Alright, I'll be there in a sec....."
I answered. I shut my car off and opened the door to step out into the fresh, crisp, winter air. The sky was cloudy and it looked like the first few snowflakes of this winter were soon to fall, dancing their little dance through the air to music only they can hear. Before I closed the door to my car, I grabbed the scarf Jack got me for Christmas last year and wrapped it around my neck. The scarf was black, with little pink warfstaches and little Tiny Box Tims scattered through out the material. I closed the car door and made my way to the front entrance the simply beautiful building. It was completely white, but with black and gold doors, windows, and roof trim. Simply beautiful. I opened the door and what greated me was simply strange... It was completely pitch black, except for the thousands of burning tea light candles, scattered every where. I closed the door behind me and pulled my phone out, calling Jack.
"Jack? What the hell is going on? Where are you?" I asked.
"Just sit tight" He said and then
*click*
"Well okay then......."
I put my phone back in my pocket and just stood there looking around. Then I heard a door open, and there I saw Ethan and Tyler, dressed up in sparkly purple vests and big rainbow top hats.
"Now, before we take you to Jack, we need to say-" Ethan started to say.
"-That we know you're gay, and we know you and Amy only agreed to date each other to cover up the fact you like guys and she likes girls...." Tyler finished. As soon as he stopped talking, the same door opened and this time, Bob and Wade walked through.
"Shit..... Uh Ethan, Tyler, are we early?" Wade asked.
"Yes, extremely, you guys-" Ethan started.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!" I yelled, I threw my hands up to express my frustration a little more.
"Okay give me one second...." Tyler said.
"NO! TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!!" I yelled some more.
"Mark just calm down just give-" Ethan said again but was interrupted once more.
"GUYS!" A very Irish accent was heard through the speakers of the building.
"PLAN B!" He said louder.
"Oh shit....!" Everyone said almost in perfect unison.
"Nope! Tell me what's going on!" I yelled.
"JACK! I KNOW THAT'S YOU!" I yelled further.
"Mark, shut the fuck up and calm down." Bob said.
I did shut up as told, and watched everyone walk away from me. Slowly..... I heard their footsteps dissapear behind a door I couldn't see.
"Mark, please make your way to the chair in the front of the room. Be careful of the candles please." Jack's voice said.
I sliently made my way to the front of the room and sat in the chair. After a few moments, the sound of a ukulele could be heard without a microphone. The lights were turned on, but were extremelely dimmed down. I saw Jack standing alone on stage with a ukulele. In a slight spotlight, his hair was electric green and his suit was an amazing raven black. He started playing the intrument in his hands and I couldn't focus. He was just so beautiful, I would never have been able to focus on the music. Except the song he sang was the thing that got me slightly distracted from his beautiful facial features.
"Wise men say, "Only fools rush in." But I can't help, falling in love with you......." He continued singing the song, and I was extremely sad when it ended.
"Mark, I love you. I love you so much. My "fiancé" loves Amy. Amy loves her. I love you. And deep down I know you love me too. So, I have one more song and I need you to answer after I'm done. Please?"
I was stunned silent. I couldn't say anything, I couldn't even move. I was slowly able to move my head up and down to say yes.
"Thank you for waiting..." Jack said with a laugh.
He started playing the ukulele again and this time I was able to listen to the song.
"Forever can never be long enough for me, to feel like I've had long enough with you... Forget the world now, we won't let them see. But there's one thing left to do. Now that the weight has lifted. And love has surely shifted my way... Marry me, today and every day......." And I was stunned. It felt that every breath was painful. It was a calming painful, and I wasn't very sure why. He finished the song, put the instrument down, and jumped off of the stage.
"Mark, I understand this is a lot to take in...... But...." He said before he got down on one knee.
"Would you please, please marry me?" He asked quietly.
"Jack.... I don't know...... What to even begin to say..."
I started to say but I was rudely interrupted by Ethan, Tyler, Bob, and Wade bursting through the door.
"BITCH DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK TO LIGHT THESE DAMN CANDLES?!?" Bob yelled.
"YEAH MARK! YOU BETTER SAY YES OR I WILL NEVER EVER OKAY ANOTHER VIDEO GAME WITH YOU!" Wade yelled louder, while everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
"Mark, please?" Jack whispered.
"Jack...... ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID?!?" I yelled.
"DO YOU REALLY THINK I WOULD SAY NO, AFTER YOU SANG TO ME? LIT THOUSANDS OF CANDLES, AND TRICKED ME INTO THIS PROPOSAL??? OF COURSE I'M GOING TO SAY YES!"
Jack's face had shown lots of concern before I yelled.
"So..... This is for forever, right?" Jack asked.
"Truly, the rest of our lives." I answered  and ran to him to kiss him for the first time.
