"Chase is a jerk." I mutter again.
"Yep." Matt agrees while running his hand through my hair.
"He's a big fat piece of poop." I complain to him.
"Yup." He continues stroking my hair while listening to my complaining.
I'm surprised that he can even put up with me. The wind in the background whistles as I cuddle closer to him. He is surprisingly warm even though the air surrounding us is cold.
"Will you ever leave again?" I ask looking up into his eyes.
"No. Not if I can help it." He smiles. "I will never let you go."
He continues stroking my hair.
"I'm sorry." I don't know where that came from, but I ended up saying it.
"It's okay. You don't have anything to be sorry about though." He seems so trusting in me. I'm sorry Matt.
"I'm sorry. I just am."
"Jus tell me the reason." He begs. He thinks he did something wrong.
"What killed your dad?" I ask. I already know the answer.
"I already told you. In prison." He seems a little frustrated.
"Which prison." I state.
"DoorTH1. Why?" He is so unaware of what is coming up next.
"Because. That's where the last test took place. That's where the people last died from my mother's horrible experiments."
Matt looks shocked as the sentence comes out of my mouth. But he has o time to be surprised. Because a gunshot comes from somewhere around us.
