Chapter 16: Chaos

EunAh's POV

SoRa and I waited in LuHan's dressing room after the concert. The concert carried on like how they intended it to be in the first place, and because EXO trained for so long and are experienced, they weren't taken off-guard by Kai's surprise appearance. However, I could sense the heated tension between Kai and the rest of EXO especially Suho. After the concert, Suho told everyone to meet in his dressing room to have a meeting. 

Another door from outside slammed shut with a loud bang, causing SoRa to jump in surprise. We could hear Suho yelling from the other room and Xiumin and Kyungsoo trying to calm him down. 

"This is bad..." SoRa whispers quietly to me. The yelling continued. SoRa sighs and rests her head on my shoulder. I grab her hand and hold it in mine. My hand squeezes hers softly to give her some comfort and reassurance. 

"I know, but it will all work out," I reply. I really hoped it would. 

The same door opened and slammed shut again as angry footsteps walked down the hall. There was no more yelling. 

I let out a sigh and let go of SoRa's hand while standing up. "I'm going to get water," I say as I approached the door. 

When I leave the room, I start walking down the hall towards the small table where they hold all the snacks and beverages for the staff and performers. As I am picking up a bottle of water from the cooler, Suho's dressing room door opens. I look up to see the eleven members exit his room and head back to their own dressing rooms. Kai was the last one to leave, slowly shutting the door behind him. A look of guilt and anger was upon his face. He glanced towards me, and for a moment our eyes met before he turned away and walked towards his dressing room.

SoRa fell asleep on the couch in LuHan's dressing room. I sat in silence on the floor as I waited for LuHan to come back. It seems that the EXO members were not prepared yet to leave. For about half an hour, SoRa and I have been in this room with nothing to do. I grew tired of fiddling with my fingers, so I decided to explore the backstage area. Besides, who knows when I will get the opportunity to do it again. 

Quietly, I exit the room, hoping not to wake up SoRa. Once I shut the door, I begin my adventure and treck down the hallway. There were some workers here and there, cleaning up the area and putting away props and equipment. They were too busy to notice a young girl wandering the backstage. 

I kept walking around until I have reached the far backdoors of the building. I decided to go back to LuHan's dressing room until I heard shouts from outside the doors.

"Let me go! What are you doing?!" It sounded like Kai.

Curiosity got the best of me, and I silently approached the door. I opened the door slowly with a little crack so only my right eye could see what was happening.

A group of guys surrounded Kai who was being held by a taller man. As Kai was kicking and yelling at them to let him go, one guy with black spiky hair and a pierced ear punched him in the stomach to shut him up. When Kai bent over in pain, the taller guy shoved a white cloth to Kai's face, causing him to go unconscious.

"Get Suah," the guy with the spiky hair commanded. I assumed he was the leader. His followers listened and headed straight for the door I was standing by.

Fear struck my body, and I ran as fast as I could to find help. When I reached the main backstage area, I saw that there were hardly any workers left. There were about ten people left still cleaning up and putting some leftover props away.

"HELP PLEASE!" I yell.

I grabbed their attention, and quickly ran towards the nearest one. She was an older woman, carrying a clipboard in her hand.

"Please you have to help!" I say as I shake the clipboard.

"Wha-what is going on?!" She asks.

"KAI IS BEING KIDNAPPED!"

"WHAT?"

The other workers go into panic mode.

"I'll go call the manager!" One says.

"I'll call the police!" Another adds.

I run to the dressing rooms and pound on Suho's door.

"Suho oppa! Please help!" I yell.

The door swings open, and Suho looks at me with surprise.

"What's going on?" He asks.

"KAI WAS KIDNAPPED!" I yell.

"WHAT?" He runs out his door and knocks on the rest of the other member's doors. Each member comes out, confused by the sudden chaos that is happening.

"Hyung, what's going on?" Sehun asks.

"Kai was kidnapped!" Suho answers. "And we need to go find him."

The other members were just as shocked as Suho was.

"Who took him?!" Baekhyun asks.

"A group of guys took him. I saw it happen at the back of the building," I say. "I don't know who they are or how they look like, but I do remember their leader. He had spiky black hair with an ear-piercing."

The manager runs up to us.

"Please don't take action. The police will handle this," he informs us. "EunAh, you will need to come with me to describe to the police what you saw."

I'm about to leave with EXO's manager, but Baekhyun speaks up.

"We can't just wait around and do nothing!" He exclaims. "Kai was kidnapped, and we need to find him!"

"We can't risk you guys getting injured or kidnapped too! You must report back to the hotel and wait there," the manager commands. He turns to me. "EunAh, you must tell the police exactly what you saw and heard."

"Yes sir," I say. I follow the manager down the hall. While walking, I turned back to see a worried EXO and SoRa standing by LuHan. There was a part of me that had a gut feeling EXO was not going to stand idly on the side and let the police handle this.
