Confusing love

Making a change!

I wake up to my alarm buzzing from my phone "great another day at school" I moan, I've never really gotten on with people in my school that was until today. I walked into the school gates and saw all the different groups of people, you had the nerds, goths and the party animals but there was one group I always admired and that was the group that wasn't afraid to be themselves. I always wanted to join that group so I decided today was the day I was going to introduce my self, I walked up to a tall girl and said hello, she turned around with a smile on her face "hi your jess right, the girl that's always alone" I smiled back and nodded, she carried on speaking "my names Emma and these crazy lot are my friends, what lesson have you got first". I told her I had English first and she told me that a boy in her group called Tyler also had English and shouted him over, the second he turned around my heart skipped a beat, he had longish brown hair, tall and a gorgeous face.

All the way to English my heart was beating so fast, jess stop kidding yourself he's so gorgeous he'll already have a girlfriend besides why would he like someone like you. I felt a tap on my shoulder, I blinked and snapped out of my thoughts I saw Tyler giggling at me that brought a huge smile to my face his smile is so cute "what's your name?" I replied to him and he said what his was. The rest of the journey to English was quite I was to scared to speak what if I made a fool of myself, I know he's never going to like me in that way but maybe a great friendship would develop. English was my favourite lesson but of course Tyler was sitting in front of me and I couldn't stop thinking about him, the lesson went pretty fast which meant it was going to be break time. Tyler walked to the top of the yard where I saw Emma and another girl that had short brown hair with a gaming console in her hands and lots of boys, I walked up to them all and Emma smiled at me and introduced me but the only person I could look at was Tyler. I know I sound like a weirdo but he's so stunning. And that's how the rest of the day went really getting to know everyone, at the end of the day Emma explained how the group was going out tonight and I should come along I agreed and rushed home to get ready. I wore a pair of black skinny jeans and a black vest top with a checked over top, applied makeup and curled my hair feeling rather nervous about tonight.

I went downstairs "mam please can you drop me of at the shops please I'm going out with a couple of friends, if that's okay" my mam looked equally as shocked as I was when I got invited out, but she agreed anyway and took me. As we pulled up I saw Emma, Tyler, his brother Luke and the other girl Liza, they waved at me and I waved back, we all walked into a good restaurant and ordered something and started talking bout games, I loved the fact that this group liked the same things as me. I saw the way Tyler and Liza were acting and felt a lump grow in my throat, I don't understand why I'm getting upset I already told myself that he'd have a girlfriend I wasn't pretty enough for him to care about me in that way. I did my best to push the thought to the back of my mind and tried to enjoy the night but once it was over I'm not going to lie I went home and cried a bit. It's always been the same never noticed by them but I thought to myself at least I have a great group of friends now.

The next day was basically the same and the next until I learned that Tyler and Liza didn't go out that's when I started noticing his shy staring and the occasional smile that always sent a wave of butterflies deep in my stomach, could he like me? Jess don't do this to yourself again you know they never like you. Why would they. I started shutting him out because I really liked him but could I cope with the pain of been put in the friend zone again? A few weeks went by and we all went out one night again and one of the boys called joe came up to a placed something in my pocket and whispered it's a key to your secret admires house and all the group started laughing besides me and Tyler and we both looked equally as confused but dropped it and walked around all talking to each other looking in different shops that had a range of pretty clothes and game shops. Once I went home I ran myself a relaxing hot bubble bath as I undressed something clanked against the hard floor, I looked down confused and saw a key I forgot about that luckily it didn't look much like a house key but I was curious to find out who's it was so I pulled my phone out and texted Emma but she replied that she wasn't sure and I should ask someone else so I did what I'd been so scared to do and texted Tyler "hi do you know who's key I have?" He didn't reply for a while so put my phone on charge and went in my bath.  Once I got out I had a text back of Tyler saying "hey, oh gosh I have no idea but I could try find out for you I'm guessing it had something to do with my brother and joe haha" i said thank you and curled up in my bed watching my favourite tv show until I felt sleepy.
