Christopher checked his backpack one more before turning to his teacher, Mrs. Emit. " Sorry Mrs. Emit, I don't have the homework" Mrs. Emit gave Christopher a disappointed look and continued to collect homework from the other students. Christopher slumped into his seat and sighed.
"Only a few more minutes before school ends" he said to himself as he stared out a nearby window. Suddenly a boy came bustling into the classroom, interrupting Christopher's thoughts. "ExCUSE me sir! It's a little rude to burst into a room like that!" Mrs. Emit scolded. "Sorry." The boy muttered. He then began to look around the classroom. "Man, this is one weird new kid" Christopher thought. "Hey Chris! That kid look exactly like you!" A random kid yelled. And it was true, the new kid looked like an exact copy of Christopher, from the shaggy brown hair, to the same pale skin, the only difference was the new kid was wearing a bright red t-shirt instead of Christopher's orange collared shirt. The new kid began scanning the room seemingly looking for something, and then locked eyes with Christopher. The kid's expression changed from curious to panicked. "UM GOTTA GO" he yelped. And then the kid bolted out of the classroom. "WAIT! Where are you going young man?!" But the strange kid was already gone. The teacher got out of her seat to chase after the kid but before she could get out of the door the bell rang and the hallways filled up with kids excited to go home. Mrs. Emit sighed and dismissed her students for the day. Christopher got out of his classroom and scanned the hallways for his best friend (and only friend) Stanley. And spotted him waiting by a water fountain. "Hey Stanley what ya doing there?" Christopher asked. But Stanley wasn't paying attention and seemed to be preoccupied with a strange watch. "Um Stanley?" Christopher waved his hands in front of Stanley's trying to get his attention but to no avail. Christopher sighed, Stanley was always super smart, and usually made robots for fun, but right now he seemed extra distracted with whatever he was fiddling with. So Christopher gave up and walked out of the school on his own.
